Oddworld Titles Arrive On PSN Today
It was one of the very first times I ever looked at a console game and said, "woah, this looks almost as good as a PC game!"
Not only did it look good, but it also proved to be one of the most original and memorable gaming experiences of the PlayStation era. Now, if you missed out on the original and a subsequent installment, you will have the option of downloading and playing them on either the PS3 or PSP. According to GameSpot, both Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exodus should be up on the PlayStation Store and ready to purchase today. These are two singular titles but you'll have to pay a bit more than you're used to paying for PlayStation classics; the standard price for these digital re-releases is usually $5.99, but both Oddworld games will cost $9.99. As far as we're concerned, though, it's well worth the price of admission, especially if you've never played them. You just don't see much in the way of strict adventure games anymore, and Oddworld always had a special flair that's almost undefinable. Let's just say the title of the game is fitting.
Just keep those PS1 classics coming; the more the better. Even if you never had the biggest library way back when, you can certainly build it up now.

In order to do the L1/L2 chant, you have to hold L and push joystick to the left, vice versa with R1/R2. And L2/R2 will be pushing the joystick up. I don't think it'll be the same on PSP, controls would be too weird.
Anyhoo, still going to get this once the dry spell comes round next year. Am currently enjoying Metroid Trilogy, Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2. And have Modern Warfare 2 on preorder. Thinking of getting New Mario Bros. Wii and Assassin's Creed 2 next month.
So many games, so little time. This generation of video games has been a bi*** on my wallet, compared to last gen where it was all bout the PS2 and Halo and Half Life. Now THAT was a much more affordable time to be a gamer.

bought both oddworld games, both pandemonium games, crash 1,2,3,CTR and crash bash last night off a market for a princely sum of 40 bucks.
not bad considering buying them of the PSN store would of cost me double that at least.

It, however, is tempting to buy some of those games you mention, as well as others, to play on my PSP.
I really have to take the time and figure out how to rip my PS1 games to a memory stick for the PSP.

AHHHHHH, a refreshingly twisted series with 100% unnatural odditives!
I've still my original "Abe's Oddysee" & "Abe's Exoddus" games for the PS1, and also "Munch's Oddysee" for my original Xbox.
Just a few quickies on the games for those who never played them....
In "Abe's Oddysee", once you were a slave laborer in a horrible meat packing pack, but now you're next on the menu.
There's no inventory bars, no menus, no scorekeeping, just infinite lives, and victims to rescue, and lots of fartingly good comedy.
In "Abe's Exoddus", greedy Glukkons are torturing Mudoken for their tears to put in their SoulStorm brewski. You possess Glukkons, Sligs, & Scrabs. The Mudokens have emotions (happy, spiteful, depresses, or suicidal), and there's also "GameSpeak" for most enemies.
In "Munch's Oddysee", it's now in 3-D Oddvision, Munch & his farting side-kick Abe, lead a lab-rat revolution.
"In odd we trust"!

Oddworld
