Best Buy To Start "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" Deal This Weekend

You know, with all these awesome games hitting store shelves in the fourth quarter - so what else is new? - it can be a real pain in the wallet. This is why you need to look for some helpful retail deals...

Well, if this rumor from HotBloodedGaming proves true, you'll have a chance to get one game completely free at Best Buy, thanks to a promotion that's supposed to start on October 25. As you can see by this leaked pic, they should be offering a Buy 2, Get 1 Free deal on all their video games; it seems you'll also be able to mix and match to your heart's content, too. Therefore, if you wanted to buy Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Brutal Legend and Borderlands, you'd really only have to pay for two of them, which is a damn good deal. Of course, as is always the case in situations like this, there are outstanding factors: first of all, it's possible that not all Best Buy stores will be doing this so be sure to check things out ahead of time, and secondly, there's always a chance that some games simply don't count towards the promotion. A consumer needs to consider such things, right? And it's not exactly official, anyway. But if it is, you won't find it difficult to locate three titles you really want; heck, if you wait until November, you could probably find six games you want and do it twice. Hmm...wonder if they'd let you do that.

Also, be on the lookout for a price drop for the PSP Go. We're not saying it's definitely going to happen, but plenty of European retailers have already slashed the price of the new portable.

The color yellow is concidered very effeminate in the UK, so Best Buy would be an utter failure. Besides, they would have a difficult time with the dollar to pounds conversion. Would be a complete financial and cultural disaster.

It just goes to show you what the mark up on games is, and it also demonstrates that retailers CAN charge less than $60 (in this case $40 for three $60 games) and still make a profit.

Anyways, sounds like a good sale. If it applies to their $20 games then I'll probably go that route instead of the $60 games.

EVERYONE PLZ SUGGEST!!!

So my story... I own some PS3 games and no PS3.... what I have: Uncharted, Littlebigplanet, Valkyria Chronicles, Eternal Sonata, Bloodshot 2, Bioshock, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden, Virtua Fighter 5 and Resistance... so given this fact- what other three games can you suggest me (I'm asking 'cause you guys have probably played them - unlike me...)

I know Uncharted 2 is a must... >..........<

Mystearica, listen to these people. Get the PS3 and then buy the games. Just to give you an example of how cheap these games can get, look at this list of game at Fry's Electronics that are being discounted.

The Bigs 2: $16.16
Dirt: $3.55
F.E.A.R.: $2.94
NHL 09: $5.01
NHL 2K9: $4.74
Rise of the Argonauts: $5.85

These are just some of the games that are being discounted. I believe you can get Bioshock at Sears for under $5 right now.

Employees post the ads all of the time because they get shipped to the stores well in advance. I see these regularly for Target, Best Buy, Toys R Us and it used to apply to Circuit City but they're not around anymore. There are even managers that will post national and regional clearance prices on games. Has saved me a LOT of money.

Eternal Sonata - $28 (I can guarantee it WILL sell for 60+ in one-two year... that's how RPGs go unless they are BIG stream ones)
Condemened Bloodshot 2 - $15
Bioshock - $19
Heavenly Sword - $29 (another game that will go up in price)
Ninja Gaiden - $13
Virtua Fighter 5 - $11
Resistance - $11

So me? Well I ALWAYS watch out for deals - most of these games I got from eBay (still on my account page so I can prove the prices) or amazon... so now I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal - I just hope they have Demon's Soul

I missed out on the Toys'R'Us deal. So, if this deal is REAL...I'm catching up on my backlog, baby. YEA!

I still in Batman, Katamari, 2K10, Brutal Legend, Borderlands, Tekken 6, R&C, and Infamous.

Hope this comes to Canada. I've already got uncharted so that just leaves brutal legend, nba 2k10, a crack in time, and wwe 2010. And I know how horribly cheesy wrestling is but it makes for a good fighting game and I have yet to get one this gen.

Last week when Toys R Us had that deal, I took the add into Best Buy so they would price match. I bought Batman: AA, Brutal Legend, and got Uncharted 2 for free. Then yesterday, Best Buy finally got Demon's Souls in stock, and I exchanged Brutal Legend for it. Thank you Toys R Us.
