Uncharted 2 "Exceeding Expectations," DLC This Year
We just can't get enough of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and while we're perfectly happy going through it again and again (and again), we'll certainly appreciate some extra content.
But first of all, the ever-humble Naughty Dog team is still saying they're a little overwhelmed at all the success and relevant praise. During an IndustryGamers interview, creative director Amy Hennig admitted that this amazing sequel is "exceeding expectations," as the game has certainly outsold the original "by many, many times" already, and the "critical reception so far has been really gratifying." And the team isn't stopping; they plan on releasing the first set of downloadable content before the year is out. Said Hennig:
"We're working on that now, and what we're prepared to say is that there will be DLC available before the end of the year. Without going into specifics, it'll involve new maps, new characters, things like that. Some of it will be free of charge and some of it will be purchasable. We've got a lot of people on the team working on this stuff, some really cool stuff that people will be excited about. So we're definitely taking it very seriously."
Oh man, more goodness for Uncharted 2. Maybe we don't need to play another game ever. And what's this about new characters? We assume this is all pertaining to the online multiplayer but you never know...just about anything new will be awesome, and it'll give us another reason to return to the game after a break. We'll let you know as soon as Naughty Dog comes forward with those DLC details.

but i would love to see more of the co-op arenas.
like the one they had in the beta, the one of the level showed at E3.
that was the best part of the beta, spent hours playing just that every day, when i was not getting connection errors.
id love to see them do a epilogue to linking uncharted 1 to 2.
and theres still some unanswered questions like who is Chloe and who is Flynn, you can tell theres some history behind drake and Chloe it does not seem like they just met.
and in the game theres plenty of references off "the good old times" between drake and Flynn.
im expecting uncharted 3 to be a prequel to uncharted 1, may be answering those above questions and going up to where uncharted 1 started.
how did drake know where Francis journal was, and the things leading up to there.
another, has drake always been a treasure hunter or he was just thrown into it for something.
thats what i want for the next uncharted a prequel showing who drake is, and showing how he became who he is now.
O and please, for the love of god fix the platforming controls, they just feel so slow and clunky.
and please, for the love of god remove the circle button for roll and take cover, its starting to drive me insane now that im playing on crushing.
on the train, i press circle to take cover, so he rolls of the friggin train.
know whats really wired though.
im finding some parts easier on crushing than on hard, like the part where you have to shoot the panels to open a door for Elana than fight like 4 waves of enemies hiding on the signs, i found that allot easier on crushing than hard.
on hard i died like 10 times, on crushing i did not die once.
one thing i need to learn to do is use grenades more often, for some reason i refuse to use grenades i dont want to waste them.
and i need to keep watch around me while im taking cover.
thats what makes this game so hard, no matter where you are enemies can still shoot you, you switch from one bit of cover to another to another to another, travel across the whole room trying each bit of cover and enemies can shoot you from every one.
most games are just pop and shoot, but you cant do that with uncharted 2 because before you know it, you will have a enemy behind you, even if theres a solid wall behind you.
got no idea how that works, how do enemies walk through solid walls?
like the level with Sully, the part where you need to take out the tower.
i took cover at the back, where you jump down, and saw a enemy walking down towards the waterfall.
next thing i know he walks through the bottom of the cliff and shoots me.
he did not walk to the edge and jump down, he walked through the wall at the bottom, as if he fell through the floor.

How??? So why did Drake introduce himself to her like 'Drake, Nathan Drake, Drake Nathan'? He was obviously stunned by Chloe's sexy looks, he don't know no Chloe from anywhere. But I agree he and Flynn have a past though.
The controls I have no problems with.

Nate and Chloe do have a past together. Go ahead, play it again, you know you want to.

Chloe didn't want Flynn to know that she knew Drake.

*SPOILERS ABOVE AND BELOW"
@www. Just replay the chapter and you'll see it. I think the scene actually takes place the same evening, right after they leave the bar and split up. Hence the sunset lighting. Then they skip forward to the "escapade."

As for the original post, I think you're one of the very few people who consider anything about Uncharted 2 'clunky', I suspect that you're either in a very small minority, or looking to generate replies.
