Dragon Age: Origins Golden, PS3 Version Ships On Time
This is one of those times when we're not entirely certain the news is as good as it sounds. But on the surface, it definitely appears to be a positive announcement, especially for role-playing fans.
It took a while - five years after it was first announced, in fact - but Bioware's latest title, Dragon Age: Origins, has officially gone gold and is scheduled to launch on November 3. Up until now, we figured it would only arrive for the Xbox 360 and PC as it was previously revealed that the PS3 version wouldn't drop until later; all we knew is that it might be on store shelves later in the year. But Bioware co-founder and EA boss Ray Muzyka has announced that PS3 owners should be happy, because all versions will now be coming out on the same day. Oddly enough, the PS3 version still isn't solidified for Europe, as they say it'll release "a bit later in November." Considered to be the "spiritual successor" to Baldurs Gate, this is the RPG that many have been waiting for, but as Bioware doesn't have much of a history with PlayStation hardware, we're a touch concerned they're rushing this one out the door. When we first heard of the delay, we were actually content that the team was addressing any problems but now...well, maybe they just fixed everything early.
Either way, here's hoping the PS3 version isn't inferior to the 360 and PC versions; the latter two were probably a whole lot easier to make for Bioware, who has been most familiar with PC-style technology in the past. We just want the same experience as everyone else gets...guess we'll find out soon enough.

this just further examplifies how hard bioware has worked on this game to bring it to the ps3 and make it feel right on consoles! i know alot of people prefer rpgs and fps on the pc but devs are figuring out "alternatives" i gues u could call it to make it feel right and comfortable on consoles. im not doubting the pc but consoles are where its at right now! especially the PS3.
i have a friend who owns a computer store (cyber center) locally and all he ever did was talk ab out pc games and how he likes his mouse and keyboard... yeah yeah! anyways recently he came tome and said so the pc is running outta games, can you help me find a ps3. i told him about the PS3 slim and the price drop and he said sold! anyways hes even going as far as getting MW2 on his new ps3! he enjoys it alot and right now looks to be prefering his console even for fps like MW2m and rpg's like dragon age! just to mention hes not just a goober who just owns both, hes been a gamer b4 i was even born, so...

And it'll be a good incentive for Bioware to consider Mass Effect on PS3.
If you like RPGs, Bioware and your PS3, I strongly recommend getting this game and showing your support.
Unfortunately, I'm already having doubts about me spending 170 bucks on MW2 Prestige Edition, but I just couldn't say no to rare(-ish) collectors items for a popular series. My EB manager has tried the night vision goggles, and he says they're the real deal.
Plus, as much as I dislike Activision atm, specially Greenburg or Kotick or whoever the idiot is who heads it, I enjoyed Modern Warfare. More than Halo, but not quite as much as Killzone, that continues to wow me.
Still, back to my point, if I have the money and the time by December to get Dragon Age, I definitely will. I strongly suggest you support it as well to give Bioware a reason to bring Mass Effect to PS3 as well.
