Demon's Souls On Halloween: "The Old One's Power Grows"
...as if this game isn't hard enough.
Say you're too old for trick-or-treating and you're not really into the whole costume party scene. So for you, this weekend is just another weekend, and you might want to dive back into your favorite RPG, known as the fantastic Demon's Souls. Yeah, well, watch your damn back. Atlus has sent out a disturbing announcement to all you Boletarian warriors; it issues a warning to everyone who wishes to jump online. Please pay attention to Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales for Atlus:
"Early reports from the Kingdom of Boletaria indicate that the Old One's power grows. We've discovered that the nefarious Demon will seek to descend the land in pure blackness on All Hallow's Eve. His minions will be more powerful, but the rewards for those who seek to challenge them will be greater as well. We don't know how long this dark tendency will last, but we do advise those prone to controller-into-LCD syndrome to proceed carefully."
Atlus...From Software...you guys are a bunch of psychos. This game has already been the direct cause of painful controller death for thousands (I'm willing to bet), and you're gonna make it tougher on Halloween?! Well, maybe it's the start of a new trend; maybe more games will suddenly become crazy hard on October 31 every year. Now that we think about it, that could be pretty damn cool... But still. Just...woah.

Okay maybe I am not upset by missing this but it would have been neat to see just how much of a pain in the rear the higher difficulty is, and how much better the drops are. Always have next year I suppose.
