More Content Partners Means More Content For PSN
At this rate, we'll be downloading episodes of "I Love Lucy" and entire seasons of "The Twilight Zone" before 2010 is over.
The PlayStation Network continues to grow, as today, SCEA announced the addition of fresh offerings from Lucasfilm Ltd., Cinetic FilmBuff, ContentFilm International, Image Entertainment, Inc., and MPI Media Group and New Video. You may not recognize a few of those names, but you'll certainly recognize the content these companies will provide: "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (seasons 1 and 2), TNT's "Leverage," films "Hurly Burly," "Interstate 60," and the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," and the online miniseries, "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog." That's just a sampling, too; more will definitely be on the way. The statistics continue to reach astronomical heights, with more than 10,000 hours of downloadable content, 2,300 full-length movies (and we haven't even gotten to Netflix yet), over 14,400 TV shows, and now, 40 studio and network content providers, "including entertainment from every major motion picture studio." Sony further reports that there are 29 million PSN user accounts thus far.
Finally, contrary to any rumors you may have heard, they have no plans to start charging for access to the PSN. There is the possibility that Sony may charge for a certain premium membership of sorts, but for the time being, access to all of this remains entirely free to everyone.

Sony Exec 1: Yes, our plan is coming to fruition... Sony Exec 2, what's the status on our mind-washing video-store content increase?
Sony Exec 2: Increase in video content is going according to plan, sir. All the companies we have struck a deal with have accepted and they are uploading their movies to our servers as we speak.
Sony Exec 1: Excellent. Now it is only a matter of time. All we have to do is wait... Muwahaha ...HAHAHAHA *maniacal laughter*

fair warning!
i really wish they would add some ps1 games to the PSN store though, today went through my old collection of games and had some wonderful memories.
dont know if anyone remembers playing point blank but i remember as a kid i use to play that for hours on end every time i went over to my cuz house.
sony would seriously make a mint of me if they added some PS1 games to the PSN store.
not to mention PS2 games, why the ^%$#@@#$%^^%$#@ my PC can play ps2 games but my ps3 cant is beyond me.
for ^%$#@#@#$$@! sake sony, if a bloody no name can develop a emulator to run PS2 games on a PC, im sure one of the worlds largest electronic companys can manage.
i mean seriously, your higher skilled than a kid at college aint ya?
