Bad Company 2 Beta Confirmed
We've been saying how important demos are to gamers these days, and just how accepted the practice of sampling a game before it arrives has become. Well, another feature of this new generation has also become ingrained in the mainstream gamer society: beta tests.
It used to be that only a very select number of people - almost all of whom are industry insiders - would ever get to test a game before it arrived on store shelves. But along with demos, many of you have jumped into at least one or two betas so far this generation and developers consider these testing sessions to be an invaluable part of the final QA process. This is especially the case for games that put a big emphasis on multiplayer action, so you shouldn't be surprised that EA is planning a beta for the highly anticipated sequel, Battlefield: Bad Company 2. According to YourEMGN, an EA representative has confirmed the rumors that a beta test will exist: "As for the beta, we'll have more details later this week." Okay, so it's definitely coming, and GameStop seems to know when as they're the ones who leaked this information earlier. The retailer seems to believe the beta will start on November 19, which isn't too far off... For now, though, we'll have to wait for EA to provide us with some official information because we know a lot of you will be interested in participating in the test.
The original Bad Company was a ton of fun and we're expecting nothing but "bigger and better" from the sequel. Let's get a taste in just a few weeks time!

the first had blowing walls up, so RFG stepped it up and had structural damage to buildings.
i want to see BFBC2 match or beat RFG.
the physics engine in red faction guerrilla was completley amazing, the way cement broke, the way steel girders bent and twisted.
only complaint about that is the walkers, i mean what the fu** is the point of creating something so cool and restricting its use to 5 minutes throughout the whole game.
i mean seriously who does not want to walk through friggin buildings?
