Insomniac: Latest Ratchet And Clank Enjoys Fast Start
The now-epic Ratchet and Clank franchise has proven to be immensely popular with both critics and gamers alike.
Before Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time launched late last month, the franchise's 8 installments had sold over 25 million copies over the course of most of the decade. And now, if you check out the latest edition of the Full Moon Show podcast (always a good listen), you'll hear Insomniac announce that A Crack in Time is the fastest-selling installment yet. They didn't provide any exact numbers and we have to wait for the NPD results, anyway, but it's still a promising announcement. Remember, October was a very tough month. Dominated by Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - another PS3 exclusive - and featuring other quality titles like Brutal Legend, Tekken 6, and Borderlands, so a game like A Crack in Time definitely had its work cut out for it. But we've learned of a very staunch Ratchet following among the ranks of PlayStation fans; this following has grown consistently over the years and at this point, they'll always reward a new effort.
Just bear in mind that Insomniac has hinted that this latest title might be the last in the stellar series for a while. We know they have to start chugging away on Resistance 3, for instance, and they've called A Crack in Time the end of a trilogy.

If anything, today's generation of gamers is to blame
OMG FPSs!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG
Babck in 1999 it was all 'bout Banjo Kazooie, Crash Bandicoot, Mario 64, Klonoa, Tomba, Spyro
Those were the great days when platformers were appreciated as they should be!
Platformers > FPSs any damn day (imo)

But yeah I don't like the picture either, for the factors that you addressed.
Though everyone here are all civilized right ;)

If I'm told to change it by the people running the site I will, otherwise I'll keep it.

though R&C up your arsenal is definitely by far the best in the series, i wish they would do a HD remake of that like the GOW collection.
now that would be a dream come true, the best game available on PS2 now available on PS3.
SPOILERS!
youve been warned!
ok.
why would they have clank rejoin ratchet if there not going to do another one?
makes no sense.
last for a while ok but how longs a while?
2 years?
thats fine i can wait, but any more than 4 i wont be a happy chappy.

i spent hours upon hours searching for every sewer crystal.
so much fun.
O and not to mention the weapons were most powerful in there especially the RHINO 3.
that was unbelievable truly lived up to its reputation and you can see why it would be banned.
but the RHINO IV disappointed me to weak, and the RHINO V was even worse.
ACIT is the second best followed by TOD than gladiator.
im probably the only person who actually liked that, deadlocked it was called in the US.
all my mates hated that one.

Rip You a New One.
I don't see how any version of the RYNO could be too weak. You hold R1, rotate, and everyone dies. What more do you want?
I also enjoyed Deadlocked, though TOD was better. I just got Arsenal and haven't played through it yet (finished QFB first).

and i was really disappointed how they took the auto aim off the ryno V.
being the last R&C game i was expecting it to go off with a bang, i was expecting it to be seriously overpowered, i was expecting it to make the ryno 3 look like childs play.
not saying its useless but it definitely could be better.
