Ubisoft Prepping Two Large DLC Packs For Assassin's Creed II
Assassin's Creed II is guaranteed to give you plenty of bang for your buck, as the lengthy adventure could net around 40 hours if you wished to complete every last possible objective. But we can always use more of this amazing production, can't we?
Ubisoft has lifted the lid on two sets of downloadable content they plan to release for the game, one of which will release in January and the other will follow in February. The first DLC pack will be called the Battle of Forli and the second will be dubbed Bonfire of the Vanities. Now, here's where things start to get interesting: first of all, Ubisoft is telling players to keep 1 GB of free space available for each pack, and that's fairly significant (it's about double the size of a Modern Warfare map pack). In other words, these are large pieces of DLC and as some players already know, there are certain sections of the game that remain locked throughout the main storyline. If you want to read up on the relevant histories, feel free to visit Kotaku, and then decide for yourself what we might see in these extra pieces of content. Remember that Bonfire of the Vanities was a real event that happened in Florence in 1497, and Florence just so happens to be the first city in the game. Again, though, you'll see that various parts of the city remain inaccessible for now...it's a little frustrating.
We should have prices and solidified dates before too long but for the time being, we're plenty excited. This is one game that just never seems to get old, so more missions and quests will be most welcome.

laptop hard disks are so overpriced, just get a external one plug it in and away you go.
just make sure its formatted in FAT32 otherwise the ps3 wont be able to read it.
why sony chose FAT32 over NTFS is beyond me, i mean FAT32 has not been used since windows 2000 thats how bloody dated it is.

You can get a 1 TB external hard drive at Newegg for $80 with free shipping. Or for $50 more get a 2 TB internal. And I have 5 external hard drives and all bigger than my internal. I'll take externals over internals any day.

and its a figure of speech, jesus christ you guys take everything literally.
its cheaper not literally, but comparing what your paying to what your getting its cheaper.
i bought a 500GB HDD a year or so ago for 400 bucks im sure theve gone down by now, but a 1.5TB external drive from MSY is running 300 bucks.
thats triple the size, so you would expect close to triple the price, but there not there much cheaper than laptop drives.

Does anyone have more current information. Are you able to access information on an external directly or is it still a shuffle game?

I know now everyone has this type of setup and I am pretty sure it is an atypical setup to begin with but an external HDD does not seem to make as much sense as an internal anyway in my opinion but I suppose to each their own.

Even that is still overpriced compaired to US prices. US dollars and Australian dollars are just about equal in value right now, which sucks since I used to order a lot from over there, so it comes out to around $277 with conversion.

@The Doom,
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not but 40 hours is a decent amount of time for a game. Especially for an action adventure title when most of them are 10-20 or less. Again this could be a shining example of not being able to read sarcasm in text but hey.

Like Coverton341 said, 40 hours is plenty long for a game. I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not either, but I barely have enough time to play games for an hour a day, let alone 2 days straight. So a game that would last me over a month playing at that rate is great for me.

This is good to hear. I'm really liking AC2. The first one doesnt impress me as much. I bought AC day one and never finished it cus i was let down! Well because of how into AC2 i am i thought i should give it a chance. So today i devoted my whole day to getting through AC (which i havnt qite yet), and i gotta say its better than i give credit. Although alot f my cmplaints are still there. But AC2 on the other hand im enjoying and ill welcome DLC onto my HDD anyday for this game! assuming i dont have to pay $14.99 of course which i will not do!
