Dante's Inferno Demo Confirmed, Hits PSN Before XBL
God of War III is going to rock your socks but you may require action sustenance some time sooner.
EA's Dante's Inferno, the game that appears to adopt many of the combat mechanics found in the aforementioned franchise, is slated to drop in early February. We love the look of it but if you're not convinced, feel free to check out the playable demo that will arrive on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace this month. Normally, this is where we give you one date that includes both services but EA has decided to give the nod to the PlayStation 3: the demo will be on the PSN on December 10, but Xbox 360 owners will have to wait a couple weeks before it comes to XBL on the 24th. Why? Well, we have no idea, but we're certain PS3 owners won't be complaining. Said Inferno executive producer Jonathan Knight:
"The world of Alighieri's Dante's Inferno is such a rich, detailed, and often alarming universe, that all of us at Visceral Games put our hearts, and dare I say souls, into creating something truly intense and exciting. We hope gamers enjoy this tease of hell, and come away from the experience lusting for more when the game comes out on February 9."
For the record, the final product is certainly scheduled to ship on the 9th for both the PS3 and the 360, so don't go getting any weird thoughts in your head. Let's just say that this demo is a nice little holiday gift for PS3 owners from EA, and we definitely appreciate the attention. The end of 2009 could be all about Sony's machine, so perhaps EA is simply seeking to capitalize on the console's new-found popularity.

Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, Darksiders, Lords of Shadow, and GOW3. PS3 Slash Actions will rock soon, the only one I labled as great in this category before was DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden series for this gen on PS3. (heavenly sword is close but no due to its tedious arrow and cannon funtion, and Prince of Persia is way too easy)

And it doesn't end there. Square-Eidos has been giving PS3 owners some lovin' in the form of exclusive Joker challenge maps in Batman Arkham Asylum, and now Square-Eidos has stated the PS3 version of Just Cause 2 will have some exclusive content.
