SCEA Publishing Flower Developer's New IP For PSN?
Okay, so we all know SCEA will be producing what is arguably the biggest action title of the generation thus far in God of War III. But did you know they're also planning a new IP, possibly for the PlayStation Network?
Of course, SCEA does a lot of publishing so it could be just about anything, but it's always nice to know about. According to Split-Screen, this information comes from SCEA Director of Product Development John Hight's LinkedIn profile. Now, Hight handles external production for Sony in Santa Monica and we know he's "currently working on games for PlayStation 3 for retail distribution under Sony's new e-Distribution Initiative." Personally, I'm hoping it's thatgamecompany's new downloadable project. Hight and SCEA oversaw flOw and I believe they handled Flower, too, although I could be mistaken. Of all the projects I want to learn more about, whatever thatgamecompany has brewing behind closed doors definitely ranks high on my list. At this point, one could label them as pioneers in the realm of smaller, digital games, and both their projects thus far have earned them high accolades from both gamers and critics. And we just have to assume that whatever it is, it sure as hell isn't a sequel to either game in question; these guys do originality and innovation at all times, it seems.
So anyway, discuss amongst yourselves what this new SCEA IP might be. Really, without any evidence, it's impossible to narrow it down but it's still fun to guess.

That said, I would love to see a really good, new and original platformer.
Although, now I think of it, with the collection of petals in Flower, Flower could almost be considered a platform game.

Wiki it or Youtube it.
Failing that, i have no idea.
I think it's too soon for the third, i remember hearing of Flower years before it came out.
Flower is still a highlight, not only for Playstation 3 but, for this generation in general.
