Brutal Legend Hammer Of Infinite Fate DLC Detailed
If you're looking for an excuse to return to Brutal Legend - or an excuse to buy the game - maybe this new piece of DLC is just the ticket.
Today, EA and Double Fine have announced the Hammer of Infinite Fate, the second downloadable pack for Tim Schafer's well-received story of a roadie who ends up in a wonderfully designed heavy metal world. This will feature new skins, weapon upgrades, new Trophies and Achievements, and multiplayer maps, and it will be available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace next week, December 17. PSN users can nab it for a slightly cheaper price; it'll run you $4.99 there, while XBL users will pay 480 Microsoft Points, or about $6. Said Schafer:
"I'm excited about the beard, or course, and the new achievements and trophies. But the thing I really can't wait to get my hands on is that Oculus of the Lost. Using it to find the last Bound Serpent isn't cheating, because it looks so cool on my car."
See, you can get three new outfits for Eddie Riggs with this pack: Mountain Man, Black Metal, and Zaulia Threads. His car - The Deuce - will also get a cosmetic overhaul with the help of four optional paint jobs, and four more upgrades that include the Oculus of the Lost, a nifty GPS system, and the Eye of Sorrow. Oh, and Mount Rockmore will support six new heads...one of 'em is of Schafer himself, so you can properly idolize the video game genius in virtual form. Doing so in your living room with pictures and candles is just way too creepy.
