EA Sports Announces New IP In 2010
EA Sports has dabbled in just about every sport imaginable over the years, but they obviously haven't touched all the bases just yet 'cuz they've got something original in the hopper.
According to GameSpot, EA has spoken about the immense success of FIFA 10 (4.5 million units sold through November) and the somewhat "discouraging" total sales of Madden 10 (3.9 million units through September). But they've got something unique up their sleeve, which they plan to announce in January. EA Sports community manager Alain Quinto said as much in a Twitter update: "Just heard the execs at EA Sports will announce a new game sometime in January." We know EA Sports MMA will be dropping next year and of course, they're bound to revisit all the established sports franchise as they do ever year. So the question is, what new sport are they looking at? What can we expect now? There are a whole lot more sports out there than you might expect, and maybe EA is planning to unleash something entirely fresh and unanticipated. I'm not entirely sure why they're keeping it under wraps, though; EA is usually more interested in getting the hype ball rolling early. They don't skimp on marketing and campaigning.
Well, what do you think it might be? EA Sports may be the last studio you'd expect would announce a brand new IP, but this industry is often full of surprises. No joke.

No? OK then, how about...
EA Sports announces Ballroom eXtreme (just wait till you get a load of our cheat modes)!
Not that either? Alright...
EA Sports proudly delivers Field Hockey 2010. Before you scoff, remember this involves lots of very fit girls with toned bodies running around in shorts and whacking at each other with big sticks. Honestly, can it get any better? ... You bet it can, with Create A Forward mode, where you can create your own field hockey star, an all new create a uniform mode where you can design your team's apparel and finally the "Glamorous Mode", but we'll leave that bouncy surprise for you to find for yourself...

ill give ya extreme ironing.
every single time i plug in the iorn the circuit breaker trips and sometimes theres a short out of the GPO.
so we figured its a electrical short, called out a electrician and he could not find the fault.
i plug anything else in and its fine, only this iorn.
so than i thought it was the iorn.
bought a brand spanking new one and it STILL does the same thing.
mystery of the killer iron.

i think its faulty wiring deeper into the line where its really hard to check without ripping half the house apart.
switch the iron to a different room and everythings fine so it has to do with something on that line, either the GPO or even the circuit breaker.

that would be kick a$$.
loved the first one back on PS2, the second one was really, really rushed.
put the time and effort that the put into fifa 2010 it could be a really good fun game.
or how about water polo?
or i remember the monsters inc bowling game back on PC a few years ago.
just like normal bowling but once you bowled the ball you had to control it around all these traps and objects.
best bowling game ever made, i would love to see something like that come to the PSN and have it playable on both PSP and ps3.
or maybe a next gen pinball game, no even better a next gen pool game.
im the king at pool, come down to the pub and ill wipe the floor with any of ya!

I'd suggest Criterion could do it, but they are reportedly working on the next NFS game. Not that the couldn't have two projects going at once, they did some good work including motorcycles in Burnout Paradise after all.
