Sackboy Ready To Brave The Pirates Of The Caribbean
LittleBigPlanet has always been about player involvement; making one's own levels can be awfully satisfying. But sometimes, it's just best to leave that to the experts.
This is why the fans have been asking Media Molecule for more professionally designed levels and now, it appears the designers have granted that request. We're not sure when they're coming but according to the latest Trophy update, "Pirates of the Caribbean" will be the theme used in several all-new levels. Obviously, these areas will be based around the new water-level concept in the game, and some of the Trophies we find are Bronzes for destroying the Kraken boss and collecting all the Pirates of the Caribbean Prize Bubbles, along with Silvers for netting a score 7,000 in the Diving for Treasure Survival Challenge and completing the race in Cursed Bay with at least 4,000 Points left on the clock. So yeah, if you've got a hankering for new stuff that isn't necessarily designed by your next door neighbor, Media Molecule will soon step in and show you how it's done. You may recall their insistence that a sequel would be "counterproductive;" they simply want LBP to grow within its original shell.
In an industry that thrives on sequels, it's kinda refreshing to hear this philosophy. Besides, via the PSN, we've already made LBP feel like a whole new game, and all signs point to a ceaseless flow of updates.

I'd like to see more games come out that then continue to evolve the same game engine and sell more content via PSN, so that the game evolves instead of constantly having a sequel.

@ Ben - just fyi, the link in your article isn't working for me
I'm sure these new levels won't be free, but I would think the 'water update' would be. I guess we'll find out.

I wonder (as is everyone else] if Water is with this.
Im thinking it is because why would they show it off and tease...
Last time new levels came with trophies, it was the MGS pack and we got brilliant new tools with that so, i`m definitely thinking it will.
Im a creator rather than player so, new MM levels doesn't excite me too much, i just see them as a tutorial for the new tools.
I don't like to play many levels because i want to be uninfluenced and thus unique.....or so i like to think lol

im impressed, dident think a large platformer game could work well with the psp but theve really done a good job.
only if the price came down i would buy it.
NO! psp game is worth 60 bucks.
no game.
well except resistance retribution.
best of the series.
in fact better than resistance 1 and 2 put together.
just goes to show, how good the guys at sony bend are.
since my 2 favorite PSP games are theres, and they managed to top insomniac thats not a easy task.
i really hope the rumors of them doing syphon filter 5 for the ps3 are true, because if they are O BOY! are we in for a treat.
huh, once there done with that, they need to go and make a new GOW game for the psp.

Side-note- I finally beat AC2. That ending surprised the sh** outta me and Ezio! A sequel is definitely evident.
