Home Director Hints At "Mini-MMOs" For PlayStation Home
Right now, you can find several casual little games within PlayStation Home, but it seems Sony wants to build on this and provide users with an even more unique experience.
According to Kotaku, Home director Jack Buser wants his ever-expanding innovation to eventually become a "social gaming platform." Basically, they want to make what Buser is calling "mini-MMOs" for Home, which would definitely be a big step; we can already chat with friends and attend a variety of social get-togethers within Home, but "mini-MMOs?" Sounds interesting, even if that isn't typically your bag. Sure, you can go play pool or poker, or chip some golf balls over at the EA Sports pavilion, or try your hand at the Uncharted 2 multiplayer version of "Risk." But Buser says this is only the start and that they plan on moving forward in a big way. He wouldn't say that any such "casual" MMOs are ready to be announced but seemed confident that they would arrive at some point. Remember, it's Home's 1-year anniversary, and it's already unrecognizable compared to where it began last December. Sony has been working steadily to make Home something truly special, and these internal games could represent a valuable addition.
If you haven't been in Home lately, you should definitely check things out. It's pretty damn big; you might even get lost if you haven't been around in some time.

wtf?
how can something be mini and massive at the same time?
hopefully there not like the minis on the PSN.
15 bucks for tetris?
20 bucks for bowling?
WTF?
i can get those on my iphone for 5 bucks.
hell jailbreak your phone than get them for free.
has sony lost their mind?
they want us to buy things off the PSN, there trying to push DD.
but they do so by charging more for the games online than what they are in the shop.
for example i got GOW CoO for 30 bucks its 45 on the PSN store.
digital games should be cheaper because.
1 theres no middle man so theres no markups.
2 no case, no manual, no material costs.
3 theres no cost of shipping, and distributing the games.
there removing all these costs, than hike up the price 15 bucks.
great way to push something sony.
