Yakuza 3 Features Nearly Five Hours Of Cut-Scenes
It's great to know that Sega will be distributing Yakuza 3 in North America, even if it does drop into the jam-packed month of March.
But what many of you don't realize about this series is that it's very story-driven; each installment features a robust storyline and plot, with interesting and relatively complex characters. Perhaps this is why there are five hours of total cut-scenes in the third entry (and the first for the PlayStation 3). This according to IncGamers citing the recent BBFC rating for the game. Not surprisingly, it received an "18" rating due to "strong violence" but the interesting note is that the adventure also contains "295 minutes and 18 seconds of linear elements" (i.e., cut-scenes). First of all, this certainly confirms Yakuza 3's entry into the European market and secondly, it proves that Sega pulled out all the stops in terms of story construction. Each tale featuring Kiryu Kazuma has been worth seeing; this guy is a total bad-ass and if the franchise was more popular here, he'd be in the running for any "biggest bad-ass" award with the likes of Dante and Kratos. The stories are also emotional and well-written, so I can't wait to see Yakuza 3...
This is one PS3 exclusive you shouldn't miss, especially if you've never played a Yakuza title before. They've never been fantastic, but I've heard nothing but awesome things about the first series entry on the PS3, and if we ever want to see Yakuza 4, we gamers had best respond...

Then, as if that wasn't tough enough, we got Yakuza within weeks later.
3 of my top 5 most wanted games released so together....such a dilemma.
