Borderlands Getting More Vehicles?
We at PSXE may not be the biggest fans of Borderlands, but it's still one of the most popular games of 2009.
Those who are familiar with the hybrid FPS/RPG know there's only one vehicle in the game, and while that works out just fine, we can always use more. In fact, if you ask any fan of the game, one of their suggestions for future downloadable content is quite simple: more vehicles. Might Gearbox have heard this feedback? Well, Kotaku recently spoke to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford and besides explaining the team's decision for only utilizing one vehicle, he also hinted at the prospect of new rides in the future. You can listen to the entire interview if you wish; the quote in question comes just after the 29-minute mark:
"I would not be surprised if in one of the DLCs down the road you’d discover that we’re adding a bunch of cars to the game."
If you have other ideas for DLC, you might want to make your voice heard in forums around the 'Net because it appears that Gearbox is listening. Furthermore, due to the fact that multiplayer is far more popular than the single-player campaign these days, don't be surprised to see more additions for the online multiplayer aspect of the game. Without awesome ideas from the gamers, devs are just gonna make sh** up for DLC, you know...that could lead to problems, even though most designers are gamers themselves, of course.
