Aliens vs. Predator Hunter Edition Confirmed For US
Aliens vs. Predator has only been in the news due to its battle with the Australian Classification Board but now that the ugliness is over (Sega won their appeal; the game will be released in the land down under), we can turn our attention to the game itself.
This one really does have a ton of potential, and if you're convinced of its impending quality, perhaps you'll spring for the special Hunter Edition. Previously announced for European territories, it has now been revealed that this jam-packed bundle will also be coming to the US, which only proves that publishers aren't too concerned about pricey packages. This particular special edition features four extra Multiplayer maps (they'll come to everyone later), "a fully articulated and disturbingly creepy Facehugger model," a Weyland Yutani sleeve badge, and even a 3D lenticular postcard. The extra bonus for US gamers is that they'll also receive a special hardcover graphic novel from Dark Horse Comics featuring the original Aliens vs. Predator comic. Lastly, if you feel like pre-ordering this loaded edition, you will land some extra exclusive skins for all three species (Human, Alien, Predator) for your multiplayer shenanigans. Although it certainly won't be as popular as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that Prestige Edition sold plenty well enough, even at a lofty $150 price point. And aren't there still plenty of AvP fans out there? There has to be.
I mean, who hasn't wanted a next-gen remake of the original Aliens vs. Predator on the Atari Jaguar? Essentially, that's what this kinda is...why am I the only one who seems to like that idea?

Ahhh, who else remembers those choices when picking which character you wanted to play as, on Atari's Jaguar system?
I still have my AvP game cartridge & after reading this news item I just went back to it for nostalgia's sake, but damn...I had forgotten how square & rigid AvP looked(even though those same graphics were considered pretty good in their time).
So I'm glad a new AvP is coming out because I really want to see how good the graphics(and story) will be done on a current "this-gen" console like the PS3.

seriously is there anyone who is going to buy a limited edition of any game besides GOW 3?
i dont know about you, but i dont have enough cash to buy every game i want as it is, let alone buying the limited editions.
developers are seriously wasting there money on this, theres to many games coming out in the next 3 months for people to be spending their cash on limited editions.
i dont even think ill buy the GOW3 limited edition, because the guy at EB told me no price has been confirmed but hes thinking 200 bucks at least, and i wont be surprised if hes spot on because its 140 in the US and thats without the GOW collection.
i want pandoras box, but 200 bucks.
yea, cya later!

i could of swore they said 140 when they announced it on the PSN blog.
owell, than add 60 to that price for the collection.
probably 170 would be more likely, but still.
anyway only time will tell, if its 140 or less ill buy it, if its more i probably wont.
to many games, to little time and to little cash.
im going to need a second than third job next year, than a 1 year holiday to plat them all.
not that im complaining ;)
