From All Of Us At PSXE To All Of You: Happy Holidays
It seems almost impossible that yet another year has gone by and yet, here we are again, wishing all our readers a Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.
I say it every year: we just wouldn't be doing this without you guys and as long as you continue to read, we'll continue to write. We're proud of what we do but perhaps above all else, we're proud of the community we've assembled here at PSXE. We believe we've got one of the most civil, knowledgeable readerships of any gaming site on the 'Net, and you can bet that we continue to value your participation in the Comments and Forums. With your help, the Comments will be an even bigger success than it already is, and we can keep working on forum growth in 2010. But there's one thing you won't have to worry about: the daily updates you've come to expect won't cease, and we'll keep trying to bring you the latest and greatest throughout next year.
2010 is already shaping up to be one hell of a year, too, what with the likes of Final Fantasy XIII, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, God of War III, MAG, The Last Guardian and more. It's a lot but when new stuff breaks, always check PSXE for the news and media. We might be trying some new things, too (an idea we've tossed around before is a PSXE Podcast; other sites are doing this a lot, I've noticed), and maybe we'll ask you what you'd like to see. So in the end, thanks to all and we hope your holiday season is a memorable one. And in 2010, we'll try to keep getting better.
Oh, and stay tuned for our Game of the Year Awards; they're less than a week away!

You guys definitely make the days and weeks throughout the year more eventful, having updated news to read on one of my favorite hobbies! I ussually dont join websites, or forums, (although i dont hit the forums often) PSXE somehow drug me in! Despite all the arguments, and disagreements ive been in this year on the comments, there is no other place, with more knowledgable readers (us) and Writers (Ben, Arnold), and no where else can you find a good conversation about games than here! It has become my one stop news site for gaming! Thanks guys!
BTW podcast would be awesome but keep it kind of short, i hate the one and a half hour shows that drag on. maybe 30-45 min and more straight to the point but still having fun with it!

Though we can disagree sometimes on the site we all act like brothers (and sisters Robochic) and thats the way I see each of you. I really love this site and Most people here really have something to add to the conversations.
Thank you foremost Arnold for this site and keeping it unique. Ben for the consistent stream of interesting articles and John for being so *ahem* Mysterious...
Merry Christmas from Hawaii...

psxe is the best example of what a gaming site should be like
No BS, straight to the ponit, and most importantly, civilized
But it gets better when you have a dedicated staff which looks at v-gaming and at life from so many different angles and perspectives that you're actually EDUCATING YOURSELF BY COMING TO THIS SITE!
This has been one awesome year for games. Gamers really need to take take off those blindfolds and get Uncharted 2. They're literally missing one of the best games ever made thus far.
Anyway, thank you Ben, Arnold, and John, ya'll really appreciate gaming firs and foremost.
Gran Turismo 5 next year!!! Can't wait!
PS: Demon's Souls needs more love, that game is without a doubt a revelation........gaming has never been like this since SNES

I look forward to 2010, as it has just as much games I desire as I did 2009. If this year was the year of the PS3, may the next year be the golden age of the PS3.

Nice Christmas for you man, lucky!
Since we're both kids I'll say I have a special friend too but I'm too afraid of certain things so I'm just gonna' stay friends with her unless something happens with Fate.. (cheesy but oh so tasty).
But... PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN, right?

Your tree example is ridiculous. An atheist would hear your claims of a tree falling and go out and actually conduct a study to see if it's actually true. A person of religion would take your word at face value, and an agnostic would choose one or the other. Religion and the origins of life are VERY RELEVANT to atheists since both play an important role in humanity and the universe.
Next time you attempt to generalize a specific group of people at least make a valid example.
LimitedVertigo
Friday, December 25, 2009 @ 6:31:43 PM
Being an atheist has nothing to do with a lifetime study. Seriously where do you get these ridiculous viewpoints?
An atheist or any competent person does not have to conduct a study on every religion out there to gain an understanding of what a belief in a higher power is and the faith required to make that belief a factual claim in a person's mind.
An atheist is an open minded person willing to accept any claim as long as there is evidence to support it. Simply believing in a god just because is not a valid reason. Believing in a god because of some book written thousands of years ago by MAN is not a valid reason, especially when that said book fails under scrutiny.
I was raised in a christian family and both my parents are devout christians, hec my father is a christian author in his spare time. So you're completely wrong when you mention "An atheist does not consider the possibility of God's existence before ignoring Him". Atheists quite clearly do consider the existence of god and due to the lack of any evidence they refuse to accept it.
It has nothing to do with god showing himself, any form of evidence would suffice and yet there is not one. It sounds like you're in denial about the FACT that religion is all about FAITH and a HUNCH.
Atheists do not believe religion is to blame for ALL the problems in the world but there is no denying religion has played a huge part in the deaths of million/billions of people. The crusades, dozens of passages in the old testament to name a few.
Oh and your line "greatest trick the devil ever played, was to convince men that he did not exist" is an empty message void of any validity used to take the place of any educated argument you may have.
Aftab
Friday, December 25, 2009 @ 6:39:29 PM
And for the record, making generalities is exactly what you do, when you say all people of religion take things at face value. And it is exactly what you do, when you reject all religions without knowing them. And even more rediculous is that you imply an atheist says God does not exist, because he has conducted a study. My feeling is, if there is an uncreated creator of it all, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, than it may take more than just a "study" to know him. If you'd ask me, which you won't, He'd probably tell you to study yourself first, and at least keep an open and honest mind.

2010 is coming, on top of my list are the massive titles coming.
Aside from gaming, my other things to look forward to are:
1) South Africa 2010
2) Formula One as Michael Schumacher has come out of retirement

Think so huh, wait till ya reach 57 like me, and finally realize that suddenly life's starting to whiz right by ya, and at 2000MPH too.
And don't believe anyone that tells you that 50 is beginning of your golden years.
The only golden years I've ever seen so far was from a faded 1932 picture inside Fort Knox.
It's more like lead, tin, & aluminum years.
But I gotta say, my adopted family of Playstations DO keep me golden(and young)!
