Singularity To Miss Another Expected Release Window?
Yeah, I know what you're thinking: whatever happened to Raven Software's Singularity? That's exactly what you were thinking; don't deny it.
It has been delayed several times already and it seems the game may be facing yet another delay, as evidenced by several release dates listed by retailers. Initially, this unique, time-altering FPS was expected to arrive in the fall of 2009 but Activision pushed it into 2010 because it didn't wish to compete with certain blockbusters. And last we checked, it was supposed to release some time during the first quarter of this year...but maybe not. GameStop has Singularity listed with a June 1 date and Best Buy says it won't arrive until June 22, although Amazon may not be up to speed; they still have a March 31 launch date for the title. We'll have to see if Activision or Raven confirms this expected delay, but wouldn't it be ironic if they pushed it again because of all the huge games slated for Q1 2010? ...many of which that were originally set to release for the holiday season last year but fled into 2010 for the very same reasons? These days, it's tough to avoid butting heads with the big boys, isn't it?
Well, maybe it's a good idea. If you had to choose between Singularity and many of the promising titles set for release in February and March, what would you do?
