Lost Planet 2 Lumbers Into May
In addition to giving us the official release dates for Super Street Fighter IV, Capcom has also come forward with the new date for Lost Planet 2.
Originally expected to launch in February, this highly anticipated sequel will now be on store shelves for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 18 in the US and Canada (there was no mention of a PC version). This sequel is set a decade after the original story; planet EDN III has undergone major terraforming that has replaced much of that icy environment with vibrant forest area. There will be one major character with three support characters, and we'll also be making decisions throughout the six chapters that will directly impact the outcome of the story. Like the first game, players will utilize a third-person mechanic both on the ground and inside giant, capable mechs and Capcom says we'll face even bigger and more insane enemies this time around. Oh, and according to GameSpot, a couple recognizable faces will make cameo appearances as backup: Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago from Epic's award-winning Gears of War series. We're not sure if these guys will be included or if you'll have to download them as extra DLC, but it probably won't matter to PS3 owners...this certainly sounds like content exclusive to the 360 version.
Lost Planet 2 should be better than the original and the May release means it doesn't have to compete with any of the blockbusters in the first quarter of this year. It just might be a great option come spring...

Don't think this one will be any better, but we'll see.
I know I'll be busy with other games of pure quality...such as you....you know..something like God of War III or White Knight Chronicles

can i just ask one thing of you capcom?
PLEASE make sure its in stores by the release date.
not like dark void, resident evil 5, street fighter IV, devil may cry 4.
i had to wait days sometimes weeks after release to get a copy.
dark void for example ive been ringing every local game store i have, game, EB, JBHIFI, Kmart, target, the games men, toys R us and none of them have received any copies of dark void yet.
8 bloomin days after the bloomin release!
whats the point of having a bloomin release date if the bloomin games not going to be in the bloomin store by then?
