Quantum Theory Delayed In Japan

It's not exactly shocking but it's likely still disappointing for action fans.

Up until now, Tecmo's Quantum Theory had been scheduled to release on March 25 for the PlayStation and Xbox 360. Known mostly for looking a great deal like Epic's Gears of War, the title began its life as a PS3 exclusive but over time, eventually became a multiplatform project. Many were looking forward to its March launch but today, according to Just Push Start, publisher Koei has announced a delay for the game. Quantum Theory now holds a vague "TBA" release and the reason for this delay "is to improve the game's quality to better satisfy the gamers." While it only applies to Japan, one has to assume the North American and European territories will continue to wait as well, and one has to wonder if the March blockbusters like Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III had anything to do with the decision. Perhaps not, as FFXIII is already out in Japan, but you never know... We haven't seen much in the way of details or new media for the game, though, and that usually isn't a good sign.

We'll let you know when Koei issues a new launch date for Quantum Theory in Japan. At this point, the title has sort of slipped on the priority list for many gamers, so Tecmo should take the time to get it right.
