Heavy Rain Coach Bus Rolls Out
...it may be one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
It's the Heavy Rain Coach Bus and it's clearly rolling out to help promote the new PlayStation 3 exclusive that drops in a few weeks time. Unfortunately, according to PlayStation LifeStyle, you won't see this bus on the streets right now unless you live in Germany, so we're all wondering if there will be more coach buses. Sony's advertising has been spotty in the past, although we should probably admit that the "It Only Does Everything" campaign for the PS3 has been a huge hit. We still say they need to advertise the system's exclusives better; recently, only Uncharted 2: Among Thieves got some serious ad time, but perhaps that's the start of a new trend. There's little doubt that Quantic Dream's promising and ambitious title will need all the promotion it can get, primarily because it doesn't appeal to the mainstream "twitch-gamer" crowd. The other two factors that might assist sales are high review scores and controversy surrounding the game's nudity, but I still wanna see that coach bus around here. 'looks out window'
We remind you again to stay tuned for our review of the hotly anticipated game in question; it will go up after 9 a.m. PST on Wednesday, February 10. Are you excited?

If you couldn't do it across 1-3 UMD disks, it could be EPISODIC for the PSP too in the form of downloads every 2-4 months... Could be an interesting take on a "virtual" portable crime series you can take with you on the go. Interesting idea or not?

like the first scene when you first walk in and she tells you to put your cash on the table her skins got a green tint to it.
WTF?
than in the fighting scene where it gets you to use the sixaxis motions are not sensitive enough.
i was shaking like a Montreal school girl and still did not pick it up.
not to mention in the last scene there is a sh*t load of screen tearing and pop in.
when the camera first turns on the car dashboard looks all bury than all of a sudden all the textures come in.
same with the characters faces.
one thing i dont get though is they made trophys pop up after the missions to not disturb the "gameplay" but than they have friend messages or log ins during the whole time.
does that not defeat the purpose?
oh well ill just turn them off, and hope i dont forget to turn it back on later.

This is a definitive purchase for me. The demo certainly answered all my questions. Though i'm certainly looking forward to the PSX E. review :D

classic, i pissed myself laughing when i saw that and instantly reminded me of my father.
the demo raised allot more questions with me than it answered, like i know its a demo but that every time you play a scene its different argument davids been barking around is certainly not what i found in the demo.
only time will tell.

And to join in with a few other comments, I mean no offense to this site or any of the other select few sites I trust, but there's likely nothing that will get me more excited about 'Heavy Rain' than I already am.
Should still be a great read, nonetheless.

I subscribe to a mag and get it every month, they have reviewed HR and its a good score (in case you're wondering, the magazine isnt out on general release till Feb 11th but as I subscribe, I get it hot off the press a few days early)
Anywho, in its closing comments they said "as soon as you finish the game you'll want to start again straight away." Didnt Ben say he's on his second play through..? Thats gotta be a good sign, just sayin

For the record, OPM also gave Bioshock 2 a 5/5.
Oddly enough, there was no MAG review. Maybe not so odd seeing as how most mags have a three-month lead time and MAG is one of those games you have to wait for the servers to be fully functional to review.

Sony should run a contest so that when they're actually done with the contracted advertising run on the bus, they should give that bus away to one lucky gamer. Shipping fees included!
Please note: CDL(Commercial Drivers License), and daily riders, not included

I have decided to call you Negative Nancy. When an article on a game pops up all you do is complain about minor issues, I did notice a few but none to make me whine about it in this article. I was severely impressed with the Demo, its astounding in so many ways its just incredible. The only issues I noticed were during a trailer with some slowdown and some clipping, other then that, I really loved it.
