SixAxis Wins an Emmy

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony's motion-sensing controller has won an award most of us probably didn't even know existed. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences bestowed the SixAxis with an Emmy for excellence in Technology and Engineering.

SCEA CEO Jack Tretton had this to say: ""The overwhelming consumer demand and critical acclaim for PS3 is testament of the platform's strength and the industry's desire for a true next-generation entertainment system."

What exactly that has to do with the award we unfortunately don't know, but Sony didn't win just an Emmy this year at CES. They're walking away with a CES Best of Innovations Award, one of PC World's 20 Most Innovative Product Awards, Sound and Vision's Editor's Choice honor, and a Digital Innovation Award from the Digital Entertainment Group.

Good, not sure if I'll buy immediately.
Eh, not bad, but I don't care.
