Big PlayStation 3 Announcement Coming On Monday
Exclusive titles are always a hot topic amongst gamers and it can be fun to speculate before a big announcement.
Now, there are any number of exclusive PlayStation 3 projects fans wish to see, and that includes the likes of a new Kingdom Hearts and Twisted Metal. In the past, exclusive announcements for Heavy Rain, The Last Guardian and others have been met with widespread enthusiasm...so are we going to see another such announcement on Monday? Well, it depends on how you interpret GamesRadar's Twitter update, which hints at something large looming on the immediate horizon for Sony:
"Anyone interested in a World Exclusive PlayStation 3 announcement? Try 8am UK time Monday 15 Feb on GamesRadar.com..."
This does not necessarily mean we're talking about a PS3 exclusive game; the world "exclusive" in that statement only means GamesRadar has the exclusive on the information. However, what else might it be? It really can't be another price drop and we doubt it pertains to the PlayStation Network (we already got NetFlix). We'd like to assume it's a game exclusive to the PS3 and if that's the case, we'll be awfully interested to see the unveiling. Could it be something we all recognize or might it be an all new IP...? Guess we'll know Monday morning.

Honestly, as much as I was doubtful, a GT5 release date announcment was really the only thing that crossed my mine. Game has been anticipated so much, little information like a release date is a new day for me.
Other than that, it might be some firmware update info, a "new" game, official name for motion controller, new partnerships/collaboration, marketing, or who knows what.

Since the PS2 sales are finally slowing down, it would be great if Sony finally got their PS emulator figured out & is about to put it out in a firmware update soon.
I've got a 60 Gigger so I don't need it, but I know there a a lot of people who do, especially with all these new Slims now selling like hotcakes.

If Sony can do that, then they can also drop the Dreamcast emulator onto the PSN as well along with a sizable number of Dreamcast titles for download.
Talk about selling like hot cakes...

off topic: my ps3 blu ray drive went down about a week ago. my brother offered me 125 cash for it as it was so i figured sure why not that plus what it would cost me to have it repaired plus 25 bux and i got a brand new one. so today i get my tax return back and go to buy a ps3 and there is not one place in my entire town with a ps3!! is sony playing the old supply and demand game? (reducing supply therefore increasing demand) im really feeling boned right now with my 2 most anticipated games of all time (HR and GOW3) around the corner im getting ready to go on a killspree. what do i do? is it like this everywhere else right now? do u all see ps3's on your store shelves?

It's probably because because their demand is now outstripping supplies. I think they're just about sold out everywhere you look(at least they are in my area in New Jersey too).
With all this recent PS3 advertising that's going on, and a great lower price, the Slims are selling like hotcakes.
I think you're going to have to stay vigilant on the phone calls just to catch one of the store getting a shipment in.

PSN wouldn't cause a Blue Ray drive to die. they sometimes just die. Mine died in my original 60gb model. I got it repaired then less then 60 days it got the YLOD. If your guys owned a launch model or one close to launch, its not uncommon for these problems to occur.

It is about what Sony has said repeatedly about the current facets of the PSN remaining free regardless of what it does with a premium subscription service (read additional as on top of what is already free).
Damn the illiteracy and poor comprehension skills of people today. Is my generation the last generation with the bulk of its people who can read, write, and comprehend the written word correctly?

from the psn prospective im hoping either the premium package like the pricing and what were getting or ps2 titles finally coming to the store.
but who knows cause sometimes what sony thinks is a big announcement ends being something that no one really cares much about.

i doubt will ever see either 8 days or the getaway 3.
thats what happens when you scrap 2 of the worlds biggest games for a crappy kids motion game.
that will be sonys biggest mistake ever, i said it will come back and bite them in the a$$.
and it did!

My PS2 DID actually improve on the act, it actually reads discs again, but everything loads really slow. The popup in any game is terrible. My Guitar Hero games still work fine though...

Speaking of PS2 problems, I'm on my 5th PS2... All previous PS2s started having disk reading problems and most likely because of the dang laser... But luckily my current PS2 doesn't get all that much use now and so it remains preserved with all the dust on top of it... Oh... For shame xD

The return of an unexpected series? Maybe the whole world will get access to the video store. How about the ability to play PSP games on PS3?
What worries me is that this is only going to GamesRadar. Why not at the Sony Blog? I bet it's something little.

If KH3 goes to the Xbox 360, they will RUIN a good series!! I'm not bashing the Xbox 360, but remember what happens when titles go multiplat? They cut out things, make the graphics worse than they should be, and bring nothing but a shitstorm of the exclusive fans.
Now, I don't quite expect it to be KH3, but I'm pretty dang excited no matter the case. And since it's a "World Exclusive" announcement, it will be a nice big awesome surprise for us all! (Hopefully)

1) Sony's Premium PSN. Everyones heard about it. If you haven't, it aint so bad. Its actually worth the price from the things announced. Its has options and it looks pretty good. Though cross game chat shouldn't be a premium option.
2) PS2 Emulation Returns. I believe Sony has their software emulation ready. Why haven't they released it yet? Because why would they when the PS2 is still in production. But since this should be the PS2 final's year, Sony is ready to give back what they took from us. Call them the grinch basicaly.
3)PSP-Go Relaunch. Though it said PS3 news, who knows. Rumors said Sony wanted to make things right, so they plan on relaunching it. If the wifi aint changed to G or N, still a no Go for me.
4) GTA V exclusive to PS3! R* said that they aren't going to make the game any smaller, and that multiple disc aint an option for a game like GTA. So they told a certain company either they upgrade the disc format or the deal is off. Seriously, a next gen GTA only 9GB of data? There's 57GB left on a dual layer blu-ray. Use that mofo.
5) Sony let's the public choose the Name for the Mo-control. That would be the worst decision possible XD. Expect names like "The Glow", "The Remotiontrol", or the worse of them all, "The Playstation 3 Motion Controller".

going to reply just number 4.
is what rockstar said true or just a rumor you found? cause im pretty sure the other company "M$" will pay rockstar so much cash and do what ever it takes just so they can keep gta on their console as well.rockstar did come out and said gta 4 online was suppose to be bigger the game single player was going to be way better but due to "M$" going with dvd-9 rockstar had to take thing outs like vehicles, weapons, areas, etc so they could fit the data on to the disc.it be a smart move to make gta 5 exclusive with ps3.only cause rockstar knows ps3 can handle what they wanted to due with gta 4 at first.so whos know for sure till rockstar gives out more info on gta 5.sorry for the long reply lol.
