New Uncharted 2 DLC Pays Homage To Original Title
Uncharted 2: Among ThievesAh, Trophies. Although they get in the way for a very few - as a critic who must review tons of junk, I gots lots of silly Trophies on my machine that I can't get rid of - most really appreciate the feature.
They're even more fun to nab when playing a game as amazing as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. And as of February 25, a new DLC blast will feature a bunch of new multiplayer content and much of it is centered around the first title, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Now, the Trophies this update adds aren't backwards compatible so you'll need to start playing again with those new goals in mind. The Trophies include Sneaky (50 Stealth Kills), Tastes Like Chicken (20 BBQ Medals), Made It (Finish Wave 10 In One Survival Game), Wipe Them Out (Win 50 Deathmatch Games), and Cold Blooded (Get 2,500 Kills in Deathmatch or Elimination Games). We will also receive 12 new in-game multiplayer medals like Tip Off (Be the First Player to Grab the Treasure in Plunder), None Shall Pass (Get 5 Kills while in the Hill during a King of the Hill), Finish Him! (Get the Last Kill of the Game) and That Was Embarrassing (Earn a Shutout in Plunder). Last but not least are the six multiplayer skins coming your way on the 25th; they're all from the original Uncharted: Drake, Elena, Atoq Navarro, Eddie Raja, Gabriel Roman and the enemy pirate Javier. You can use these skins on two new maps, also inspired by the first game; the Flooded Ruins and the Facility.
If you needed any extra incentive to get re-involved with Uncharted 2's multiplayer action, this might be it. Now, if there was only a way of deleting the Trophy information for Hannah Montana: The Movie...so much crap polluting my Trophy collection. :(

Really good... and yes, the train section was very well done.
Unfortunately though I am now stuck at the "Cat & Mouse" chapter and can't complete it. I am battling the green tank, the problem is all enemies and my partner have disappeared... it is just the tank and myself, and I can't seem to find any RPG's anywhere in order to take it down. Without chapter select does this mean I will have to replay the entire game? Juts can't seem to find a way out of this one :(
What a shame!
...is there a way to restart a chapter, if not my current play through is screwed...

Qubex, for the Cat and Mouse chapter with the Tank. Follow Tenzin, and keep going forwards, there are rocket launchers at the end, but you have to get to the end to find them. As long as you keep moving forwards and don't try to duke it out with the tank early, you'll be fine. You'll know when you find the rocket launchers at the end, there are a number of them.

If these trophies were originally on the list I don't think I would have platinum'd this game.
This is one of my favorite games, but I don't want to play online enough to get 2500 kills....

Oh, that's one of my biggest pet peeves with both, Sony's trophy, & the 360's Achievements set-ups. How I wish that Sony & MS would put out a patchs or something to let us delete trophies & achievements for any unwanted games.
I'm like you with a lot of damned unwanted trophies too, but I get get my unwanted ones in a more indirect route.....
Since I buy a lot of older title in bulk just to add to my collections(yes, even the crappier bargain binned ones), I always sample them & play a bit just to see if I've found a hidden gem I'll enjoy among them.
Or I'll download a demo & find out Nahh, I really didn't like it, but I still happened to get a trophy or two along the way.
But now that game will forever be put away on my shelf never to be played again or that demo gets deleted, but I still have that damned game's 1 or 2 trophies staring at me for the rest of time, not to mention wasted space.

i wish ND would release a prequel to uncharted 2 just like what quantic dream are doing with heavy rain, or what visceral are doing with dantes inferno.
if not i hope uncharted 3 fills in the gaps between uncharted 1 and 2 because theres gaping holes in the story left you wondering.

Right, let me not get my Wizardry beard into a tangle now... but I am definitely going to get the DLC... Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are a monumental effort in the technical departments and two of my most treasured games now... Incredible stuff...
I just cannot wait for the sequels to both... :)
