SCEA On Dante's Inferno: "We All Wanted To See It"
There's little doubt that EA's Dante's Inferno is very much like SCEA's God of War franchise, but neither side views this as a bad thing.
Last year, when a reporter told an EA designer that their new action project looked an awful lot like GoW, the team member didn't balk in the slightest. He said the studio is flattered that people see it that way; after all, God of War is one of the most revered and popular franchises out there. They have never once hid the fact that SCEA proved to be a big influence for the Inferno project, but how do the SCEA guys feel? Well, they have no problems with it and in fact, they're pretty big fans of EA's new action extravaganza. According to CVG citing the UK Official PlayStation Magazine, God of War III director Stig Asmussen had some nice things to say about the competition:
"We've been intrigued about Dante's Inferno. This is my favourite genre, and the more people that are making [these games] the better. And this is a really rich story they're building on, it's very interesting. The day that the demo came out we were trying to download it on PSN at midnight. We all wanted to see it."
So no, SCEA isn't sitting behind closed doors in the office, plotting a dastardly revenge plan. They're not twisting cliched evil mustaches and cursing EA to hell because they "stole their ideas." That just isn't the case, and we're glad to hear it; we need the developers to be professionals, after all. And stay tuned for both the Dante's Inferno and Bioshock 2 reviews...

The story, settings, and action was better than the previous two GOWs and I can't wait to see it expand with the sequel. After watching the special features you can see how despite using the GOW formula for battle, they broke with many conventions and did things never done before to make it the wildest adventure they could. The reviews were very unfair to this game.
Calling it a GOW ripoff would be a massive mistake, like calling KZ3 a MW ripoff. Best action game of all time for me, after GOWIII is released it will still be the best action multiplat of all time. Looking forward to the review. Totally exalted.

In the case one has a differing opinion, or fact, one responds and lists the counter-points, or facts. At least that's how it is in my mind.
In the case of people voting who's right in a debate, for example, one simply has to use a 'thumb-up' do indicate their vote. But for most people, a thumbs-down simply is a "boo-hiss", especially for those who find difficulty in articulating thoughts or feelings.

Yeah I'll be getting into that multiplayer, I don't think there has been a gunless action game yet with multiplayer.
And I wasn't spazzing about the thumbs, but I would like the cowards to come out and speak once in awhile.

Been playing my friend's copy lately and the game is very entertaining. No, Dante doesn't steal the crown from Kratos, but he and his world are much more engaging to me than Bayonetta and her's ever was.
The quicktimes can be a bi*** though. lol

What about the box-pushing, the wall climbing, and the puzzle solving? What about the enemy designs? See, even though it is GOW reskinned, I'm not dismissing it for that reason. The reason why I'm waiting is, generally speaking, I don't like playing the same kind of game back-to-back. One kind of gets jaded for a bit. So if I had to pick a game of the two, it would be GOW3. I'm sure i'll get around to playing Dante's Inferno some time, but I don't want to spoil my appetite before dinner, if you get my meaning.

Right now, I believe the fastest car out is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4
8.0 liter W16 engine, the equivalent of two narrow angle V8 engines mated in a "W" configuration, & four turbochargers feed the engine.
0 to 62 MPH in 2.5 seconds
0 to 97 MPH in 5.5 seconds flat

(Wish I had a spare $2.1 million just laying around for this, my dream car)

it was quite impressive since it was the first car to have 100HP.
it was the first car to have a engine in the W shape because it was using 2 4 liter V8s which gave it its W16 heart.
and if i remember right it also was the first car to use 4 turbo chargers.
4!
the bugatti is so slow through the corners, its like a lounge on wheels.
you can have all the power in the world but if its so heavy its going to fall over.
actually the worlds fastest car to this day is actual a sweed.
the kooninzegg or however you spell it, the CKX i think its called.

You got balls for saying that. Dante's Inferno makes GOW1 and 2 look boring. I agree with you. DI was much more entertaining IMO. With GOW1 and 2 I felt like just pressing through to the end. GOW1 and 2 did have better puzzles but for some reason, I can't admit in my heart that GOW1 and 2 were better games. They just didn't do it for me.
Kratos is truly the epitome of a badass but that doesn't make a game for me. GOW's story seemed lacking and no I didn't feel sorry for Kratos, his fate was caused by his own barbaric and pathetic actions. Calling on Ares to bestow upon him the power to smite his enemies. Well Dante tells Death, "I will redeem myself". Dante took responsibility for his actions while Kratos still murders innocent people on a whim. Take the characters and compare them. Dante is without a doubt the more interesting of the two.
