First Bioshock 2 DLC Revealed
Bioshock 2 is definitely one of the best games of 2010 thus far, and for those of you enjoying the ride, you'll be interested in hearing about the freshly announced downloadable content.
Today, 2K Games has announced the DLC plan for their well-received sequel; this new content will "extend and enhance the single-player and multiplayer experiences" and the first pack will be called the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack. Available next month for the PlayStation Network ($4.99), Xbox Live Marketplace and Games for Windows-LIVE, it includes several customization options for the multiplayer mode along with the following features:
- Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
- New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
- 20 new trials
- A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
- Five additional masks
The only caveat is that you may have to achieve a rank of 41 or higher to gain access to everything above. Said Christoph Hartmann, 2K president:
"The fans who waited in the snow, rain and cold for the midnight launch of BioShock 2 have spoken and their message is that Rapture still has many fascinating stories to tell. Downloadable content is a key part of our efforts to continue to entice the fans that have made 2K a household name - we intend to deliver single and multiplayer content that respects and expands upon one of the greatest fictional worlds ever created."
More packs will be coming our way in the coming months, so it's clear that 2K will continue to support Bioshock 2 with plenty of extra content. If you're a fan, you won't be complaining.
P.S. Review coming very soon, along with the AvP review.

So speaking of those poor fools in the snow, rain, and cold, the so called "die-hard" fans if you will, did they get a free voucher for this DLC? Pfft.

Only 7 more days after tomorrow!. A week should be plenty of time to enjoy Heavy Rain for a bit. Of course I'll go back to it, but I've never been actually excited or looking forward to a fps before this game.
