European Gamers Invited To New Private Beta For Home

PlayStation Home Director Jack Buser said we can expect more improvements to the virtual social interaction service in 2010. Well, maybe they're already testing out some of the bigger ones.

It seems that some European gamers have received an invitation to take part in a new private beta test for Home. This according to several sources including European site PS3Hype, where we find a posted example of one of those invitation messages. The letter reads:

"Dear Beta Tester,

You have been invited to take part in the Private Beta for PlayStation®Home. You have been invited to take part in the Private Beta for PlayStation®Home.

This Beta is to test and obtain your feedback on changes that have been made based on suggestions by yourselves and members of the PS Home Community. This Beta is to test and obtain your feedback on changes that have been made based on suggestions by yourselves and members of the PS Home Community."

Further information has come to light, too; the testers will participate in special Event Nights where they will apparently come together and test certain new features for Home. These two-hour events will take place on February 24 and March 2, although we have no idea what they might be sampling...perhaps the option to have customized music in our apartments? Or maybe those LCD TVs we've been hearing about? Your guess is as good as ours at this point, but at least it proves that new stuff is definitely in the works, as we were promised.

I think the best word in that sentence, is clearly European.
Willl eventually get into home again, and it looks like there will be a lot to enjoy.

Seems there are some interesting developments for Home. Let us hope they really start adding those special features so many of us want, like playing our own music in our apartments or that lovely LCD TV as mentioned above. It could be so awesome.

Q!

Being from Canada I'm used to seeing everything written twice. Just not in the same language.

If they want to make it work as a social interaction area, they really need to get everyone who goes there to use a headset.

Really is it that bad? Well that sucks especially as Home is from a U.K developer.

hmmmm wonder if its those sega dreamcast games we were suppose to get.
hope so, thats the only way there ever getting me on home.
pop up some old classic games and you wont be able to get me off!
had nothing but bad experiences both times i used home. first i logged in took half a hour to download a bloody update than finally got in and every single freaking arena you want to visit you have to download.
honestly do sony think everyone lives in Japan?
i dont know about you, but i got a download limit here!
than the second time i used it so i could watch the E3 media press release last year and every 3 words jack got out it would pause to buffer.
so i said fu** it and watched it on my lappy.
