Bioshocks Reach 7 Million, GTAIV Hits 15 Million Worldwide
If you haven't had the pleasure, Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are two of the best games of the generation. So much fun, with great stories and those wonderful RPG elements in a FPS format.
Well, Take-Two's financial numbers are in and both of the aforementioned titles have performed admirably. The original Bioshock has now reached the 4 million sold mark and the sequel, released just last month, has already shipped 3 million copies worldwide. These are fantastic sales totals and should hopefully result in a third entry in the popular and critically acclaimed franchise, where Little Sisters and Big Daddies will once again converge (or maybe they'll go for a whole new environment and story; who knows?). It was also announced that Grand Theft Auto IV has hit an absolutely mammoth number: 15 million sold since its release in 2008! Many gamers are split on GTAIV, seeing as how it's a definite departure from previous iterations, but the bottom line is that it remains an elite title. Some didn't like the realistic additions and they missed the historic settings of the past, but at the same time, others really embraced the new look. Either way, 15 million sold is just downright nuts...now where's GTAV?
Well, the chances of GTA ever being exclusive again are less than zero. You can't really achieve 15 million sales if it's exclusive to one platform, regardless of how good it is. No, Take-Two wants the money and they need the biggest audience possible. That won't include the Wii, of course, but then again, it really can't.

Bioshock is a good game. Take it from me. I hated the game and had a hard time playing through the 1st few hours of the 1st one but once I finished it I couldn't deny how good the game actually is.

My point was sub HD or not is completely meaningless. Only the quality of gameplay. BioShock is a fantastic game.
Edit: For the sarcasm? Well, what we know was sarcasm, and others seem to take as utter seriousness. Daft.

I still haven't touched GTAIV as it doesn't interest me. It's the setting and lots of the music and dialogue that bother me. Much in the same way that wussy-Pesci-type character annoys me in Bayonetta.

Too bad. You should have a come to Jesus moment, change your screen name, your avatar, start over, and play nice. There are plenty of members on here that have an edge or bite to their comments, but you are just over the top.

Secondly, Akuma, anyone who actually reads my articles - and apparently, you don't - knows I have no problem with the 360. Hell, I defend it more than ANYONE ON THIS SITE. Your point is irrelevant. Why is he defending Bioshock's quality? Why is he accusing someone of saying that the game is bad on the 360 because it's sub-HD, when he's the first one to comment?
It's bait, nothing more. The comment is unnecessary because nobody ever called the 360 or the 360 version of Bioshock into question. If you can't see that, I'm sorry.

And by the way, it isn't your place to "calm people down." And your obvious implication is that I have a problem with people who defend the 360, which further implies you don't read anything I write.

What I recommend for the shards is divide & conquer. Start off on each island by scouring the perimeter of the island (because these are the only shards that aren't arranged in a crumb-trail that you will come across during your regular playthrough). Only two shards don't show up on the gps. One is in the Neon district, towards the west on the broken docks. It won't show up on the gps, because it is too far off the coast, but it is clear as night & day if you look for it. You'll have to hop 5 or so pillars to get it. The other one is in the historic district at ground zero, on the very top of the tallest building (this is the area you start off in the game). It won't show up on your gps until you are half way up the building.
Depending on your display settings of your TV, the blue shards might not show up on the water. So, you might have to adjust your contrast, or brightness. The shards should be a couple shades lighter than the water.
After you've scoured the coast lines, open up your map, and mark a block. Then, circle and climb around each block. When you're done, mark the next block. Also, it helps to ride the train tracks.
To avoid this incessant task of pinging and back-tracking, during the game, just follow each shard as you come across them, as the majority of them are arranged in a crumb trail. And don't hesitate to take detours during missions, because the majority of the missions aren't timed.
Basically, if you've done this, you only have to scour the coast lines, and there only two hidden shards that I've mentioned. This should get you all 350. Keep in mind, these 350 are aside from the ones you are rewarded with by successively completing missions.
Let me know if you need any guidance on the stunts...

Knowing my astronomically impossible bad luck, I have the one game in the universe that is glitched 1 shard shy of completion.

Kraygen: Yeah, I was pretty much at the same spot as you. But rest assure, the remaining shard is visible on your gps. I eventually found my last one on the coast line in the neon, after 'thinking' i had done that 10 times, already. Since a lot of areas look repetitive, be sure not to skip any. Since you're down to one left, I wouldn't start over if I were you.
I would check each bridge, even the broken one, and the the south one in the neon district that doesn't lead anywhere. Also the Prison has a bunch, so make sure you can make it to top. There is one on top of the entrance where you fought Sasha. I would check, the cranes in the docks in the warrens, and the area containing the tower you fought the old dude at, and the closed off compound where Zeke was held captive.
If you haven't completed all the side missions, I suggest doing that, and finishing the stunts while doing so. If you were careful to follow each crumb trail to it's end during the regular play through, it really should by hiding around the edge of the ports along the docks.
Good luck.

Yeah the comments are great on this site. Not a lot of name calling and junior high school antics but a great mixture of seriousness and humor both on and off topic to keep me coming back not to mention the news I get here I usually can't find elsewhere. I think the administrators have made a lot of industry friends over the years because if it's news, it's always here first.

Then all I can say is a certain miniature goblin-type someone with shockingly-pink blown-out electrified hair, and who's last known address was listed as "UNDER THE BRIDGE", has already used up all of their allotted time here!
Bye, bye....Pushtrax.

hell take the R* north badge off, take the name GTA off and you would not even know its a GTA game.
as for bioshock 3 they have already announced it when they finished bioshock they announced it was going to be a 3 part series all in rapture.
from the style of bioshock 2 ill bet the story will be elanore going back to rapture to free all the little sisters, and maybe find a cure for the splicers.

WHen i read bens article and he said that people thought GTAIV was a diffinate departure from the series, i had no idea what he was talking about....
I STILL DONT.
Is it not a departure in the same way that San Andreas was?
GTAIV was exactly like the rest of them.

it has the best gameplay of all the GTAs and is one freaking massive world!
GTAIV was a massive letdown for so many reasons.
1 half the freaking game your a bloody taxi driver. drive me here, drive me there, take me home. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!
2 they tried to make it too realistic and that took away from the fun factor of the game.
one of the best funnest things to do in GTA was to just drive around like a idiot and take massive jumps you cant to that in GTAIV.
3 the cops are so freaking hard in GTAIV.
in san andreas vice city or even GTA 3 i can hold off the cops for hours just toying with them, in GTAIV im lucky if i last 5 minutes against them.
4 they have taken away the exploration, you can not fly planes or helicopters till the DLC.
5 the weapons were no where near as good as the ones in well any other GTA for that fact.
honestly theres not enough ink and paper in the world to list what was wrong with GTAIV.

Bioshock 2
