Willis And Foxx Now Confirmed For Kane & Lynch Film
This may be one time where the game ends up being sicker than the movie - no, seriously - but either way, the film will boast some serious star power.
Although the original Kane & Lynch didn't meet expectations, it sold well enough to warrant both a sequel - scheduled to drop on August 24 in North America - and a movie. The idea for the film has been brewing for some time and it wasn't long ago that Bruce Willis stepped into the role of Kane. But they still needed a partner and now they've found it in "Collateral" and "The Soloist" star, Jamie Foxx. According to ShackNews, the film's screenwriter, Kyle Ward, made the very simple announcement on his Twitter page: "Done deal...Jamie Foxx is in." He also clarified that Foxx would be in this movie; not the "Uncharted" big-screen adaptation or the new "Hitman." "Kane & Lynch" producer Adrian Askarieh said that it won't have "every sequence from the game," but it is basically the same story: "the story of a mercenary teaming up with a schizophrenic psychopath to save his wife and daughter." Willis, playing the family man Kane, apparently loves the idea; Askarieh said the long-time star said it was "one of the best action scripts he's ever read."
Well, here's hoping things turn out well for Askarieh, Ward, and Co. They've got a couple great guys to play Kane and Lynch respectively and these days, films based on video games are big business. The upcoming "Prince of Persia" adaptation looks very promising...about damn time they started to put some actual resources behind these game-to-movie efforts.

I'd also like to point out that while I love almost every movie Bruce Willis has been in, he's not really an actor. He plays the same character in every movie he's in. Might not be his fault as he's well suited for it, but still.
Want to see some good acting check out Christian Bale, he has done just about everything and done it very well.

Check out the machinist, the prestige, and equilibrium.
I suggest the machinist last, because after you've seen batman and the other 2, then think about the fact that he did the machinist right before batman, it will blow your mind.

I don't know about anyone else, but when they cast Matt Damon to play Jason Bourne, I said that was the worst move they could have made. Especially considering Damon hadn't really had any action roles. I was completely wrong about that so maybe Foxx will prove me wrong with this one.
I just hope Foxx is practicing his maniacal laughter. xD

but WTF? Come on now, Jamie Foxx in Kane & Lynch?????? He's definitely not right for this role.
That's as bad as casting Paris Hilton as Oprah's lead part in in "The Color Purple".
Or, even as bad as casting f*cking PeeWee Herman in the role of Kratos.
HELL, I could have made a much better pick for the sociopath role than using Jamie Foxx....
How about casting one of these guys, any one of them would have made great sociopaths.....
Tim Roth
Dennis Hopper
Vinnie Jones(Mean Machine)
Clive Owen(Sin City)
R. Lee Emery(the Texas Chainsaw Massacre's crazy sheriff, & the Drill Instructor in Full Metal Jacket)
Mickey Rourke
Or the guy, Jigsaw(Saw 1,2,3,4,5,)
And....that's just off the top of my head, but there's even way more guys than that to choose from.

The only complaints I saw were that people either didn't like Jamie Foxx as an actor or didn't like the fact that they were changing the story by altering a character.
It would be like using Topher Grace to play Barret if they made a final fantasy VII movie.
At least for me, it's about being true to the game, I'm pretty sure that's how most people feel.

Race just happens to be a factor in the authenticity of this movie. If your best friend is white, and you've known them your whole life, and they make a movie of your life, would they give a black guy the role? For authenticity's sake, I hope not.

WTF?,
Whoa son....you need snap yourself back into reality, cause it's not a race issue that you're trying to make it become, so STOP trying to race-bait here!!!!!
The game's story "IS"(notice that the word "IS" is in prominent letter's here) based on 2 nut-job white guys, so that's the way the story should continue for "street cred" alone.
Now with that said, if the original story had been based on 2 nut-job black guys(or insert whatever race here), then I'll say the same exact thing I did above, if they decide to put Brad Pitt or Sean Penn in their movie.
BTW, and for your info(not that it's any of your business), I have 2 half-sisters who are of mixed races.
So if you're going to call someone out and accusing them of being racial, at least have the balls to also stand up & name them.
Meaningless hollow words hiding behind a computer screen don't mean sh!t, and those you accuse "DO" have the right to rebuttal.
BTW, and for your info(not that it's any of your business), I have 2 half-sisters who are of mixed races.
So I'm sick & tired of the "hate" MF'ers who always got to throw the race card into non-racial issues.
So, Comprende Amigo??????
