Confirmation Of MotorStorm 3 Found?
The original was good and the sequel was better, which is why we're assuming a third entry is inevitable.
Every time we hear rumors about an impending PlayStation 3 exclusive, we always tend to forget about the possibility of MotorStorm 3. The original was one of the most hyped games for the system early in its existence, and the sequel turned out to be better in just about every possible way. Both titles also sold relatively well so it would make sense that we'd soon see a third entry in the series. And perhaps we'll see one for the holidays: it's another big tease from a poster in the NeoGAF forums but it clearly shows a zoomed-in pic of "Motorstorm 3 First Playable" on a PS3 console. Now, we have no idea how this came to be or if it's only available to certain insiders, but it's a darn good sign that the game in question is on the way. Off-road racing fanatics should be happy; MotorStorm 3 has every chance of becoming a AAA title for Sony's console in 2010 and if it drops in the fourth quarter, it should be a hot Christmas release.
So now, the waiting game. When will Sony make the announcement? We're thinking very soon and likely before E3...

I still remember that first trailer and the badass music.
Here's a link to see the original trailer:

And of course, an actual gameplay trailer to see just how close they got:

Killzone 2 target render video was not nearly as detailed as the actual gameplay footage.
You need to check out the comparisons.

They are mainly for presentations, but it gives graphic artists a target to shoot for. Some developers come very close, to the point of nearly surpassing it (see Killzone 2). Others don't even come close.
Evolution Studios came very very close to their target video. I couldn't believe how close they came.

Sega Rally Revolution is still out there, people! (best rally game there is)
Motorstorm is a great series. Really like the experiment they did with MS2 (so much attention to the little details of off-road racing)
Can't wait to see what direction they'll take with MS3.

Assuming it does release at the end of this year, I'll have to make even harder choice to choose what games I want, and if GT5 hits sometime then too, then MS3 may be overshadowed...I really hope MS3 gets released at the best possible time (but too early, I don't want any quality sacrificed).

The 2 best things about MS:PR is that there's split-screen which MOST games are missing and then there's the custom soundtrack setting which works very nice.
Playing Motorstorm with the music "Song 2" just feel so good, you crash and then it's WOO HOO!!

I also don't care for racing games where you can't pull ahead no matter how good you are. I like a challenge, but if I'm good enough, they shouldn't be able to catch up and pass me unless I make a mistake, not just because they feel like it.
