Splatterhouse Weapon Classes Will Make You Cringe
SplatterhouseWe've been hearing about this one for a while; maybe the only reason we remain intrigued is the name. It's just so...perfect.
Anyway, there are a few new details and screenshots to examine; the latter are definitely gut-wrenching and worthy of the title. Visit Joystiq to check out the pics, which are downright brutal in nature and absolutely gorged with gore. And according to Namco Bandai, the weapons will be divided into categories like "Edged," "Bludgeon" and "Extra Brutal," so you can pick and choose as you go along. Each class will do a different amount of damage to an enemy but we imagine some will be faster than others as well. If you check out the weapons on display in those screens, you'll find a big ol' board with rusty nails, a lead pipe and what appears to be some bizarre clown head...is anyone suddenly reminded of Sweet Tooth? And what the hell do you do with that thing, anyway? Our imaginations are running wild... We'll definitely want to learn more about Splatterhouse, although we have to admit that the continual delays have proven disappointing. Hopefully, it won't be much longer before we can indulge in the nastiness.
I hope the developers aren't thinking a game can survive on gore and shock value alone. That idea almost never works in games, primarily because of the fact that they remain interactive. If the interaction part blows, than what's the point? A bad game is a bad game. Just go watch "Hostel" or "Saw" for your gore fix.

yeah, well it really never made sense who takes over, but meh.
they should of kept it the suspense movie the first one was, the rest of them ditched that and went for plain out gore.
gore for the sake of gore is just stupid there has to be a reason to it, and there has to be other aspects.
