lol... CoD being likened to Madden. Makes sense, I suppose, if you compare how one year builds onto the next. Usually something a little better, but not much different.

Honestly mgs4 isn't my favorite game to play, but I'd still have to say it's the best game ever put together. Simply because it does everything right, allowing you to play as you choose, weapons, combat, everything was just done to perfection.

Even if it's not your thing, anyone with a decent understanding of reality could admit its incredible quality.

if it is the third uncharted, i could wait another year probably, dont rush it at all. i want it to be perfect. there probably isn't much more they can do to it, but im no dev, so if there is, rock and roll.
as long as they dont fiddle with the controls. they work fine.

Well, I like puzzles, but let's have them vary in difficulty according to the difficulty setting, so if it's on easy, have the notebook provide some easy clues, and if it's on hard, throw in a misleading clue or two, or remove some of the clues. And if it's on crushing, have the notebook badly scorched so the outside half of the page is unreadable, and some of the few clues in the book are misleading too.

i thought it was too untill i put in my god of war 3.... but you see a trend here... ps3 exclusives you can tell the difference with the quality improvement but with the 360 all you see is little improvements and more of the same....

Chances are, yes, it will be the next Uncharted... but wouldn't it be cool if it was something else, too? I still have dreams where Universal comes knocking on Sony's door and says that they'll license off Crash Bandicoot to Sony for an exclusive game and that Naughty Dog must be the developer. Oh, only if dreams came true.

Anyway, if it is indeed Uncharted 3, then I guess we're one step closer to an Uncharted racing title. LOL. Think about it; the Crash trilogy was followed by a racing title and then the Jak & Daxter trilogy was followed by a racer, too. It's only inevitable.

It only make sense to have another Uncharted game after such an achievement from 2009. I just hope they don't make one unless it's a huge upgrade like the second was to the original.

Unlike GoW3 where you eventually run out of gods to kill, in Uncharted, you never run out of treasures to hunt for. Sequels can come every two to three years.

Silent, 3d Dot is an interesting concept. I heard it was a Zelda rip off, and I thought no, how could they get away with that, and then I saw a video on it, and they showed a little Mario in the game, and I thought well that isn't obvious or anything. I am sure it is a tip of the cap to Nintendo and their franchises, but I wonder if after the game comes out if we will see some sort of backlash come from the Nintendo legal department.

Part of me thinks, why would I want this game if the graphics are blah, but from everything I have read from those who have had a chance to preview the game, they all say it is a definate purchase.

To Godsman: I've heard that argument plenty about GOW. But after revisiting the prequels in the GOW collection, I came to the conclusion that story was never the most important element of the franchise.

Sure, it provided the game with a setting, context, and set pieces, but just watch all the clips on youtube, and you'll see what I mean. It was never that deep. After the first, Kratos as a character was set in stone, character development and motivations were flat, not to mention the gaping plot hole where Kratos uses the sisters of fate to save himself, rather than saving his family. The game was more about atmosphere, mood, cinematic action, level design, visuals, sound, and music. But, because the game did so well in these departments, it still was a crazy-fun experience.

What I mean to say, is that GOW can very well be resurrected for future iterations, and even do better, in the same way an Uncharted, or a Zelda, or a Megaman can. Imagine a GOW that takes place in the future where Kratos is resurrected by a secret archaelogist mission to fight warring legions of aliens who had posed as gods throughout the history of mankind. The scientists use a time machine to allow him to go back to various times in human history (Ancient Sumerian, Egyptian, Mayan, and so forth), After carrying out his missions, he would be given the chance to go back in time to save his wife and child, and even his brother, only to find out his brother ends up becoming just like he had become, but in the future. I think that would work!

That is funny. Here I thought I would give you a cool scoop on a little known movie, and here you own it.

It gave me chills when they first saw themselves when they were hiding in the van, watching...themselves.

I need to rent it again.

Main - it is about a couple of guys that were making something scientific like, but had no intention of making something with the intent of time travel, but after fireing it up, they discovered they discovered they made a small device capable of time travel. So what do they do? Make a bigger box of course, get inside and see what happens. Hope I didn't give too much away, but you asked.

We might see some info on an Uncharted 3 by the holidays, but I don't want to hear a release date until X-mas of 2011. They need to take their time, and REALLY show what the PS3 can do.

I can't wait to see what they come up with next after Uncharted 2.

Can't wait to see how they manage to topple the second one. The game literally blew me away, I just exploded right there in my chair. What I'm most interested in is where the story will go, and will Chloe be in it?

Also I think it would be cool to split up some missions and let you control the other characters a bit.

Oh, I hope that they are cranking on another Uncharted, but I'd be happy for it to be another 12-18 months before launch as long as the quality is there.

The thing is, what I want from Uncharted 3 is more Uncharted 2. Let me explain what I mean. I loved the story in Uncharted 2, the epic battles mixed with awesome and huge platforming sequences, the train, the monastery, the heist, the village, the finale. The game was immense, and I want MORE of that. I don't personally need the graphics to be that much better, in fact I would be happy with the same quality as Uncharted 2, with as much spit and polish as the devs can muster.

Uncharted 3 needs to maintain the scale, the epicness, and the length of story. If anything, make the story longer. More story, bring back Chloe, Elena and of course Sully...

Syill haven't picked up my GOW3. I have it on reserve just haven't found time yet.

Know whats funny? I've been a MGS fan for quite a while yet i've only played the first game. I actually own 1,2 and 3 and haven't picked up 4 yet. My excuse? None really except for the fact that there are so many good games now and they're side tracking me.

I loved Uncharted 2. Nearly smashed the trophies but i can't ever seem to get that damn Steel Fist Expert trophie and its really bogging me down.

If they're coming out with Uncharted 3 then I better get on the first Uncharted. Never played the first game.

Thanks Jawknee. Is there specific difficulty if should try for? I've found that it takes more or less shots to soften up enemies depending on the difficulty level you choose.

You probably already know this, but....remember to set the difficulty on Easy for that trophy (actually set the difficulty to easy for many of the trophies, no point in battering your head off the wall on hard mode if you don't have to).

Yea i did it on Easy. just figure out how many shots it takes to kill them, then shoot then one less. Aim for their arms and legs.

The only other thing that got me confused is that sometimes Drake will slide under the enemy and punch or jump and kick them. Does it have to be a 1 punch knockout only?

Those count too. You just have to wound them enough with your gun so that when you use the melee attack they go down in one hit.

That steel fist trophy was my last trophy, got it like on the ground part before the hotel, put it on easy and slo-mo, after 3 or 4 tries I got it.

That Lazaravic battle on crushing pissed me off friggin bad, after like ten minutes I too used that method Highlander, and I openly admit to it. i take my hat off to anyone who actually beat him without the "cheap" method, and I don't even have a hat.

Take their time? I sure hope not! They've got a kick ass engine. All they need now is a great story, the environments and voice talent. If they can make three kick ass LotR movies in as many years, ND can do it with UC.

Am I the only one who is extremely intrigued to see the new characters they add to the game? :)

Seriously, I can't wait to see what the new plot will be and in what impossible situation it places him in.

Naughty Dog along with Konami and Polyphony have been the only three companies I could ALWAYS rely on on for 3 Playstation generations!

Hope they give us at least a teaser at E3, but if not that's ok.

I'm already looking forward to it, can't wait what awesome scenarios they create this time, and I really don't know how they want to surpass UC2, ultra super mega extra polished graphics, longer and better story and plot and uhm... yeah, that's about it. Oh wait, more Chloe, less clothing on Chloe. Also more Sully, not less clothing on him though.

I dont think Naughty Dog would rush a 3rd installment. They way they kept UC2 hush hush will likely be the same scenario, so my guess is if they are indeed working on development for a thrid, we will be lucky to hear anything this year! So i definaitely want that luck to come our way!

And what about the GOW fans? Personally my mind changes daily on which game is my personal fav. this gen. Before GOW3 it was def. UC2, and before that it was MGS4, theres a trend here...

must i get a wii to enjoy proper old styled 2D platformers?
why is it the wii is the only console thats getting 2D platformers?
i was watching xplay today and they showed 4 2D platformers releasing in summer this year and they all were exclusive to wii.
2D platforming is patented to the wii is it?

hello ...

i've just re-started UC1 & never played UC2 SP, just one hour of MP on it, so ND you can take all your time, there's no fire ;)

I'm overhype though about a third installment but would also love any new IP.

too bad there are some great titles coming on the other side too & i don't have my new PC yet.

that's weird, i can't get myself to love mgs4, i tried the demo & kept thinking why would i buy this, even if the actual price is good. i will give it another try & really hope to like it, i love the concept behind & i'm sure the demo doesn't do the game justice.

I see UNCHARTED 3 coming maybe October or November 2011 or early 2012. The third installment always takes way longer. The only thing maybe this year is a teaser trailer or some info nothing more. And i bet for sure the project is the third installment of the UNCHARTED series.
