Capcom Talks "Balancing Up" In Super Street Fighter IV
If you think Super Street Fighter IV won't feature anything fresh besides a few new characters, you need an education.
And a very cool and lengthy interview over at the Capcom Unity blog should be your destination for said education. You might not realize just how hard the developers worked to improve many of your favorite characters, including Guile, Vega, Dhalsim, M. Bison and Sagat. It's all about a "balance up" philosophy, largely in response to fan feedback after last year's Street Fighter IV; a fantastic game in its own right but players did notice a few balance issues. Read up on what they've done: they say Guile has become more "Guile-like" (whatever that means), Vega gets some "helpful buffs," Dhalsim isn't as weak as before, M. Bison's psycho crusher move is more potent, and while Sagat is still a bad-ass, you might not want to break the controller every time you lose to him. It seems that many fighting fans have complained about these characters, especially Guile and Sagat, and Capcom wasn't about to ignore those complaints.
So who plans to snag this significant upgrade come the end of the month? It could very well be worth your money, especially once you learn more about certain "balancing" improvements.

LOL I feel your pain. Another character who felt so off was Vega. He's my main and will always be, but again there's no denying how incredibly gay he played in SF4 too.
@Laksh
I hate when we never get a real simultaneous release. I just feel like I'm being left out lol, know what mean? Oh well, I wish I was getting a t-shirt...All we get here in the states are a bunch of thumb covers lol fail :(

as far as im concerned mortal kombat is still the king of fighting games, shaloin monks was such a good game and jesus christ never have i had such trouble beating the final boss!
having to fight goro, kintaro AND shao kahn all on one bit of health, yeah i think we have a new definition to the word brutal!
deception was such a good game too, the konquest mode was allot of fun and surprisingly it actually had a decent story to boot!
than you had their style of chess and tetris to keep you occupied.
and the brutality, OMFG some of the fatalitys were so creative you have to be one twisted mother %$#@er to think them up!
all they have to do to revive the series (because midway has gone bankrupt and are now owned by wanner bros) is take all of MK deception build a new story for konquest, new powers for tetris, and add in the weapons, environmental kills, the test your might and test your sight from previous games, the falling combat and going through wall combat from MK V DC universe, brutalities and you got yourself the perfect mortal kombat game!
sell 2M units on first day easy!
id love to see another shaolin monks styled game, but i doubt that would sell as well so it would be too risky to release that first.
when your just joined a new studio you want to put your best foot first, because if your first game flops well what impression does that leave?
