F.E.A.R. 3 Confirmed, John Carpenter Lends A Hand
It wasn't long ago when a European gaming publication spilled the beans on the third F.E.A.R. installment and now, it's official.
As reported by GameSpot, Warner Bros. Interactive has announced today that F.E.A.R. 3 will launch for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC this fall. In a break from tradition, primary development will be spearheaded by Day 1 studios, the team that worked on the PS3 and 360 ports of the original F.E.A.R.. Monolith, which was the developer for the first two titles, won't be involved, which may or may not prove skeptical to fans of the franchise. The good news is that this third entry is a true sequel; it picks up where the last adventure left off, so maybe you should snag F.E.A.R. 2 to prepare yourself... Furthermore, they're including a new "divergent co-op" mode that will let gamers take on the role of one of two characters: either Point Man, the genetically engineered super-soldier from the first title, or his brother, Paxton Fettel, who uses his fantastical telekinesis powers to his advantage. These are recognizable names, right?
Lastly, Warner has tapped horror film veteran John Carpenter to act as a consultant of sorts. This should help bring out the freaky nature of the game, as Carpenter is well known to scary movie aficionados; from "Halloween" to "They Live," he has been responsible for numerous frightening big-screen hits. Considering all this, our expectations are high for F.E.A.R. 3.

WB WHAT THE FU*K ARE YOU THINKING???????????????
honestly monolith made this series, they are such good developers this game can not live without them.
F.E.A.R without monolith is like uncharted without naughty dog, or gran turismo without PD.
come on for fu**s sake what the hell is going on here?
i am so disappointed, i was on my hands and knees begging this to be like the first fear.
sigh.
"divergent co-op" mode that will let gamers take on the role of one of two characters: either Point Man, the genetically engineered super-soldier from the first title, or his brother, Paxton Fettel, who uses his fantastical telekinesis powers to his advantage"
oh god another one of these?
great another survival horror game turned into a mindless shooter just like the last fear game.
first resident evil 5, than dead space 2, than prince of persia the forgotten sands and now this.
whats next?
looks like RE5 has a new contender for most disappointing title of the generation!
