I wouldn't mind seeing it come to the PS3, though if it doesn't, I just got a new roommate who has an Xbox, so I can play it on that if I want to... that is until it red lights on us.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of shooters (at least, shooters without a good plot and/or interesting characters), and I played the first 'Gears' twice and the second one only once.

Speaking to the sheer quality of the titles, I would say they are both very well put together. But I still don't find them fun, so I will likely pass on the third.

If it comes to the PS3, I'll be happy for the people who want to play the series but haven't a 360, but if not, I'll still be perfectly fine myself.

I'm one of those who doesn't have a 360 and wants gears. I've played the first one and loved it but have not played the second since it hasn't come out for the pc. I realize that there are those of you out there who honestly don't care, but its good to see that some of you acknowledge that there are those of us who do. Bring on gears trilogy on blu-ray. I would definitely buy that.

they're good games. not worthy of the praise and acclaim they get, but they're fun. if it came out on the ps3 without many flaws i'd likely pick it up.

Dude, it handled KZ2 just fine, so Gears should not only be OK, but a fun and welcome change from all the gray (not to mention brown).

Say what you want, but Gears 2 had a far more varied visual design and color palate than KillZone 2 easily, and the first one probably did as well.

I would love to see it come to the PS3 for the simple fact that it would be fun to be able to start some friendly ribbing with the 360 crowd.

I own the first 2 for the 360, so I wouldn't buy them again. But I'd get part 3 for the PS3 so I could enjoy some free multi-player.

You know that Live isn't that expensive. For a year, it's 30.00 and that's about 1 1/2 hours of pay for the common man. I'm sure that many would get their hours worth over the course of a year.

you're talking about games like halo and gears, and from what i know of the live community, most of that online experience isnt worth paying for in my opinion. i've paid for live and played it when MW first came out. the game was highly enjoyable but the experience was not. I was so glad they patched it with a mute option but it didnt work for the lobby so i still got annoyed by the intermission.

That's MSRP and no one pays MSRP unless they are stupid. Look online for many discounts and many people who are able to get up to 14 months of membership for $30. Get your facts straight.

By the way, the older Xbox Live 12 month membership cards were being clearanced out at many retailers and they went for as little as $10. Some were even able to use a store discount coupon to get them down to $5 for a whole year. Chew on that. LOL

Honestly, I really don't care if Gears every comes to the PS3. I'd probably buy it if it did, but it doesn't matter. I mean, let's face it; that's the ONLY exclusive Xbox has that's really that great. The PS3 has God of War, MGS, Uncharted, Killzone, LBP, Resistance, R&C... and the list goes on and on. Will Gears really have much of an impact in-between all those awesome franchises? Doubtful.

War shooters never appeal to me. It's usually not the atmosphere I enjoy playing in.

To not buy a good game because you have other good games is just silly. If Gears 3 came to the PS3 then it would sell. Not nearly as well as it would on the 360 though for the simple fact that ports to the PS3 are often crap and there's no chance of Epic switching the lead platform to PS3.

Its more about weighing the options and choosing the proper investments. Just because person A says its a good game doesn't mean person B might have other games on his mind and would rather invest their time and money on that other game. Like its hard to choose, with all the stellar titles coming out for PS3 who wouldn't choose those over Gears? Or even choose Red Dead Redemption over Gears? i certainly would.

True. It would not be excruciatingly difficult to choose one of the stellar PS3 exclusives that are currently available over a port of Gears 3 from the guys who have ignored the PS3 with the first two games.

I was kinda looking at it from the perspective of already owning the games Ben listed. I know not everyone has all of those, but really, shame on them for not using their food money to buy them. They are the best there is.

to not buy a good game because you have other good game is a good excuse for me. at least if you're just trying to postpone game purchases. I'm all backed up because i bought mag, white knight, bad company 2, heavy rain, god of war series, final fantasy13, and resonance of fate. Im still not close to finishing even half of it. so i chose not to buy just cause 2 because i dont know when i'll get to it or if i'll even finish it. although if its a port that arrives way after it released on a different system then i'll gladly pass.

No the campaign was short and depended too much on online with only three modes.
I'm glad this was sorted on Gears 2 but campaign seemed to be lacking.

I don't really care if it really went to PS3 then I probably would.

No. Not because I dislike the box but because I didn't enjoy the first one and don't care for any more Martian shooters. There are plenty of other games more worth my time and money. I can't be bothered with another shooter based around a bunch of muscle bound freaks shooting hoards of aliens. It's old, stale and tiresome. Plus it's on of the ugliest games I've seen. Uncharted 2 is way prettier and better to look at.

Not to say it shouldn't come. I know some would like it on the PS3, but I wouldn't but it. IMO it's one of the most over hyped franchises in video game history. Along side Halo but at least Halo brought something new to console shooters. A solid online play while Gears brought only a broken online play and a broken game engine.

I agree its over-hyped, but I believe like Resistance, these were the only good games back in 2005-2006, so they kind of laid the foundation.

I have Gears 2, collected a whole lot of dust, its just another Resistance-Killzone alien-hunting game, so No! I don't think I really want it on the PS3, we have a lot and I have a lot of catching up to do already.

The best shooters are COD games imo.

I'd buy it. I played the original with my brother and people say that the second was even better. I can appreciate a game like that. However, like you said, the sales would be very skewed towards the 360, probably comparable to the FFXIII situation but reversed.

Yep, I agree with Timster. Though tbh, $39.99 is the price point we now associate with "value" titles like Way of the Samurai 3, 3D Dot Game Heroes and the God of War Collection - I'd probably pay the full $60 for Gears 1 and 2 on a single Blu-ray.

I've never tried 'em - I'm not prepared to buy a console when only two franchises interest me (Gears and Mass Effect) - but I do feel I'm missing out on the collective gamer experience by not having played them.

That said, I can give no assurances that I'd love Gears of War. I hated, HATED the demo for the first Uncharted simply because it was just the (solid) gameplay with no story, and I wasn't able to connect with the characters. The gameplay alone wasn't enough for me.

When I finally rented Uncharted and was able to get the full experience, I fell in love with it. If Gears has that level of narrative and character realization, I'm sure I'd fall in love with it too.

Either way, I'd like to try it.

I want it on PS3. I'm hoping for a Gears trilogy megapack all on one Blu-Ray disc for $60. If I remember right, the Gears franchise has a limited exclusivity agreement with MS. And if so, once that agreement is up, I wouldn't see why Epic wouldn't want to make some extra $$ on 360's leftovers for PS3 fans who really wanted to play the series. I played Gears 1 and 2 when I had a 360, and I would like to still have a shot a Gears3.

There's no point in bringing Gears 3 for many players like me who know nothing about the franchise.

Honestly, if it ever comes to PS3, it's absolutely IMPERATIVE to have Gears 1 and 2 as well to know the story and gameplay.

Otherwise, many people, me included, will not buy it

I just bought Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2. In my opinion neither one is close to Gears of war. In the aspect of grabing your attention and keeping it. However Killzone 2 while visually amazing the controls just run the game into the ground. Uncharted 2 on the other hand has a great story line and when I get the chance to play it more I know it will pull me in more. But the camera\controls combo of UC2 puts Gears ahead of it to. Would love to see Gears on the PS3.

the controls for killzone 2 are there for a reason. the sluggish movements are for immersion purpose of carrying all that gear while fighting. theres a certain feel of weight that you're carrying. I mean, how realistic is it to carry a big old rifle, grenade launcher, a big pistol, and a few of those spiked grenades and not to mention the extra ammo and still move regularly. its funny too because they say that the armor in halo is supposed to be heavy but spartans are so strong that they can leap so damn high with it.

Agreed, Killzone 2's controls are very sluggish. So sluggish, I choose not to play it. You want to talk about controls that make you feel like the weapons have weight to them? Try Battlefield Bad Company 2. Their controls have weight but also have responsiveness and accuracy. Killzone 2 looks good and might have a good story but the controls are complete garbage. To Hell with your thumbs down! Bring'em on! As a matter of fact, I'm just going to start it off by thumbing myself down.

You know, Guerrilla Games wasn't out to make another twitch game. They wanted KZ2 to differ from other FPS out there and they tried really hard and succeeded in almost everyway. The only complaint i ever see about KZ2 is the controls. I'm sorry to say those quick arcadey controls with no weight people have gotten used to are blinding you too see past that. This is the thing, there will always be those gamers who only play twitch type FPS, (halo, COD) with nothing more than Killstreaks to vow for. While there doesnt really seem to be another side, some gamers are glad too meet in the middle atleast and appreciate what GG did with KZ2, and realise its a huge step in a different and out of the norm direction, and they did a beautiful job with that...

The weight KZ2 has, is almost phenomenol. and LazyTrappin im sorry as good as BF:BC2 is that responsivesness may be there but is not the same type of weight, and realistic feel you get with KZ2, its just not... It does take getting used to especially if your used to playing COD, but if your a gamer and actually respect the industry, you'd realise what GG did and accomplished, was great.

That doesnt take anything away from other games though, i play COD series, and Unreal Tournament, im just saying we need these differences. I commend GG, and KZ2, and will say with out hesistation over and over KZ2 is the best FPS we've seen this generation by far all areas included.

Gears is the reason I finally caved and picked up a 360 last year. So it wouldn't particularly matter to me if the series came over to PS3 or not. By the way, I can't fathom Gears 3 showing up on PS3 -- as others here have noted, it'd be strange to ask players to jump into a story that's already on it's third entry. I love love LOVE the series, but hey, if anyone else likes it so much they can always pick up a 360.

It's not a console mover for me. I played Gears in WalMart for about 30 minutes and was underwhelmed. Granted, that is hardly enough time to give a game..but, I wasn't exactly clamoring to play more.

If it came to the PS3 I'd buy it. Then again, like some other guys on here, I'm still backlogged in other games that it will take me a year to play, lol

I think they made some poor game design decisions i.e. sprinting is downright awful. And yes, the characters are mind-numbingly stereotypical, the violence is quite excessive, and the second game goes by the way of Michael Bay, but I still enjoyed it.

It would be understandable not to want a game that was not seen by ANYBODY as being worth playing (Wii games), but why say no to a game that was well-received? Nobody's going to force you to buy it.

id love it to come to the ps3 along with the 1st 2 games and im sure that sum day they will when the deal ends with m$, i bought an xbox especially to play gears 1 and 2 and i really enjoyed them and i dont care what the haters say in these comments sections, as a game series they were really interesting and playable apart from that bloody annoying auto cover when sprinting!
o and i sold the xbox as soon as i beat both games for £20/ $40 less than i payed for it so i didnt lose to much money

Really unless you played the 1st two on a 360,(Friends-roomate-ect;) it really wouldnt make sence for it to come to ps3 without the first 2. Personaly i really wouldnt buy it for the fact that 1)Never played first two(My fanboyism is inside me somewhere)and 2)it really dosent look like my type of game...

They could always do Gears of War like they did with Ninja Gaiden Sigma.. Release the first two games under a different title like "Gears of War Redux" or Gears of War whatever you want to call it.. Same levels, same bosses, just add new things to it like alternate levels, extra characters and new weapons.

Really, I want gears for two reasons.

1. To stick it to ms for creating a system that is broke more than it is played. Maybe when they lose their best game they'll learn.

2. Gears is a pretty solid game, while not the best shooter I'd take it over halo any day.

I say hop on board. You can never have too many great games.

If anything, I would be the most happy for the employees at Epic. They would finally be able to weild the power of the PS3 in their hands, instead of Bill Gate's wet noodle. Before you label me a fanboy, to be fair, the 360 is a fine machine. Once you send it in for the 3rd repair, I hear it really hits it's stride.

I can see it now... Gears 1 + 2 360 exclusive. Gears 3 multiplat. Gears 4 PS4 exclusive. It's inevitable.

To be honest I actually enjoyed what little bit of Gears thet I played at my friends house. However, it was only enough to get me curious about the story. I would like to see and play the storyline, and I think the online was "okay", but Gears isn't something that I just have to have. If they relesed it at a reasonable price I would probably get it at some point but it'll have to wait in line behind all the other PS3 games that I want to get, and the list of game I want is long (at least by my standards).

If it doesn't, the Gears series will simply stay on the short Xbox and 360 games list that I intend to work on after I get a PS3 and most of the stuff on the PS3/PSP list.

Man, take it from a PS3 owner, I have a lot of games, and there are so many that I still want, and not enough damn time to play them all. The PS3 has so many great games, and if you ever feel you are getting close to maximizing the games you want, out come several more games. These last few months have been absolutely raining great games. And I don't see it letting up anytime soon.

Your want of a 360 will soon fizzle once you gently stroke your PS3 goodnight around 2 in the morning every day after playing it non stop.

I know this but still as a gamer there are still some things on the 360 that I want and will get them eventually. The main thing though is that I am a broke college student. I could at this point get a few of the titles on my PS3 list but without a console to play them on I won't get very far. So far I have about 64 PS3 games that I still need to get though that list is incomplete but only have 16 total games for the Xbox and 360 that I want... so you pretty much know what my priorities are.

Well of course by all means, but if it is going to be a multiplatform then why bother I do have both consoles after all. Gears being exclusive on the PS3 means it's going to be better in graphics and length and that is what I want and I guess that no true fan of the game would go against that.

I don't really care one way or another. I have a 360 and Gears 1 & 2. The games are OK, in my opinion. Their appeal to me is the splitscreen co-op and that's about it. The gameplay is fun but redundant. The story and plot progression are poorly done. And the atmosphere gets boring after a while.

I'll rent Gears 3. If it comes out on PS3 as well, I'll rent the game for Playstation instead of Xbox unless there are some major flaws in the PS3 version.

interesting story. my answer is neither 'yes' nor 'no.' i am rather indifferent about the prospect of gears coming to ps3. i played the first two with a friend on his 360, and they were enjoyable. however, there was nothing that stood out about them to make them as fantastic or epic as they are made out to be. it seems kind of average to me. i'm sorta in group 2 on this, but i didn't actually "hate" the environment and style, i just didn't care for it.

in other words, i really don't care one way or the other about it coming to ps3. i will probably not buy it regardless (unless by some anomaly i find the 3rd game more appealing than the first 2). but i understand there are those who love it and would definitely buy it. i think its hysterical that some ps3 owners would actually protest this game coming to ps3.. why? if you don't like it, don't buy it. plus its one less retarded argument we'd have to hear from 360 fans

I dont give a crap about it, but if someone else wants it why not? It certainly wont hurt me at all.

I played the first Gears and didnt enjoy it too much. The dialog was terrible, the story was fairly bland (though to be fair so is KZ2's), and they made it hard by requiring 3 clips to take down an enemy instead of programming better AI.

Some people dont care about those issues, and thats perfectly acceptable, so why would i want to deny them the ability to play a game they want on a system they want?

I'm one of those who just doesn't like the atmosphere or art direction of the game. Everything just looks boring to me. I'd probably play more shooters if they were more aesthetically pleasing to me, like Uncharted 2, which I loved.

(of course Uncharted 2 was a lot more than just shooting.)

I would be very happy if it came to the PS3, because I would get it ^.^

I played only the second one, and it is enjoyable, and as for the story, it's easy to understand, and moves the singleplayer forward (I don't need every game to have a beautifully, complexly structured story, or a story to remember for the years to come to be honest, because will we remember each one if that were the case?).

So, I'd get Gears of War 3 if it came to the PS3, otherwise, it's a 360 purchase =)

I don't really mind, it would be a game i'd get for around 30 euro's max since there are allot of shooters out there that are just as good if not better. I do miss more offline coop games of quality, and gears is one of those. However, I really can't complain with the amount of quality gracing the ps3 at the moment, in all genres.

if they release the entire trilogy at the same time on ps3 then maybe i'll try it out. but right now i have no interest in any upcoming 360 games. although getting all 3 games at the same time will be a bit tough to play. i dont like dropping into a game without knowing/playing the story. i'm already playing a trilogy called god of war. i prefer uncharted's atmosphere more than gears. i didnt like all the dark stuff and the story didnt really pull me in either.

I'm actually pretty excited for the new Halo game, not cuz its Halo but cuz its actually doing a more of a bfbc2/mw2 thing with making and choosing your own gun/equipment layouts. I might actually pick it up, OR Brink just looks ridiculous but I've only seen the trailer which I drooled over...free running plus guns! Altho I do wanna finish the Gears story other than that I think its fine staying on the 360 ::shrug:: the PS3 is doing just fine with its exclusives and multiplat titles :)

I would like to play it....I don't have an Xbox, but I am not a fanboy. I honestly don't really see a reason to buy an Xbox, most of the games are the same, and I have plenty to play, and I don't even buy all the great PS3 games. Once and a while a game that is hyped on Xbox I feel like I want to play it, then I think if it were on PS3 would I buy it? rent it? For instance I haven't played heavy rain, but if it was on Xbox I might find myself really wanting to try it. Gears is one of those games, I would like to play it, but I don't think it's a U2 beater.

By all means push Gears for the PS3. I've never played it though but it looks like a solid title. I like shooters because well, you sorta have to if you want to play some of the best games nowadays...I won't go and ramble any titles off though but I think Gears would be a nice addition to the PS3 game roster. Like someone muttered before me, if you don't like...shut-the-hell-up and go about your business. It's not hurting the PS3 in anyway, right? It also gives the Xbots another reason to ponder a PS3 purchase if they haven't already been thinking about it. Wait...they can think...right?

However, to my post above, the character designs are awful IMO, I'm not a big fan of monster-sized, muscle-bound, freaks of nature. I tend to like playing with normal looking human beings more so than a hybrid human monster. That's just personal preference though. That's also the reason why I was never influenced by any hype to play Darksiders. I mean, the main character was just too freakishly large for me to want to enjoy the game.

Well for me, I already have Gears of War 1 & 2 on my Bots Box.

But I think it would be great(& I would get them on the PS3 too), but only if they make a seriously upgraded the series & made a Gears ! & 2 collection, just like our own GOW did.

Epic would need to first fully optimize it to the PS3, & then include any DLC, & add a lt more bonus stuff too, just for making all the Playstation fans wait all this time.

Then Epic could truly claim to be their own namesake...EPIC!

But if they just want to do a ho-hum port of it over to the PS3, then I say NO!
Don't bother, and just keep it over on the Bot Box.

I wouldn't mind it coming to ps3 simply to whittle down the xbox exclusives even more but I'd only buy it if it was really cheap, mostly because it has a co-op campaign which is too rare even today.
Overall though I've got enough shooters as it is. Even though my next anticipated game, RDR, is technically a shooter at least it has an atmosphere that isn't more dull colours with more aliens.
PS 40k had chainsaws going through aliens since the 80's, they're just taking forever to do it outside of an rts or cutscene.

And I already got ME2 without an xbox, there's not much they have that the PC doesn't.

I'd trade my 60 GB 360 and Gears 2 limited edition towards a copy. (And the trade value of a 60 GB 360 is only 60 bucks compared to 150-250 for a PS3 at EB. Aussie prices of course)

the train mission is really the only mission you have to constantly move around, in most of the others you could basically choose a spot of cover and take everyone out from there.
in gears 2 you cant do that in any level, otherwise the tickers or other enemies will come and blow you to kingdom come!
i love it how you can plant traps and lure your enemies in like GoW2 lets you, its so much fun planting a grenade than luring a unsuspecting victim to his doom!

one thing i would really love to see in all shooters is the AI and stealth from SPC.
played the demo today, and in most games say your taking cover directly in front of a enemy and their shooting you.
so you stay behind cover so they cant see you, and move behind them than you pop up and somehow they know your their.

wish i had x ray vision!
thats the best part of splinter cell conviction if the enemies can no longer see you a silhouette comes up showing your last known position, and you can easily flank your enemies.
adds a little strategy and forces you to think, instead of just cover camping.

yes gears is better than uncharted, better than any other shooter out ATM for again one simple reason.
it forces you to use your head and not cover camp throughout the whole game.
in uncharted 2 bar the train scene you can pick one bit of cover and stay there till all the enemies are dead.
try that in gears 2 and see how long you last!

hey guys anyone besides me interested in knowing if the Sims 3 comes out for ps3? I love the sims, and really hope it's for ps3 but i can bet it will be for both ps3 and 360 and other consoles, but it will be better on the ps3 and wii=).Can't wait for a sims 3 article.

Of course, only some fanboys wouldn't want it on the PS3.

Gears of War set the bar high for shooters back then, yes, UC2 is better but that doesn't mean Gears suck, those who said Gears suck are either ignorant(I learned it from you Ben) or not a fan of TPS.

Beside, I also love science fiction world, so that's why I hope there can be a shooter with something similar to Gears but with UC2 quality.

good point, if a game is good on one platform and can be on the other (take note Valve with your shitty ports) then go right ahead.
Gears would be great if it made it, i for one wont lose sleep over not having it.
i can replay the first uncharted a million times, as i love it.

I wouldn't mind it coming to the PS3, even just for the fun that it wouldn't be considered 360 exclusive anymore.
I wouldn't buy it though, don't get me wrong, i see it as a good game, but from what I've played, I didn't really think it was all that good, but I probably would've liked it more if it wasn't with those dam 360 controllers I can't get around with, they're just waaaay to big and bulky, much like the gears characters.

Personally I like the fact that the ps3 game selection isn't bogged down with tons of first person shooters with meaty soldiers whose tiny heads are half the size of their arm muscles. I feel that a big majority of the 360 market is just the same game over and over with different pictures. i'm not a hater, i love halo not gonna lie but even halo and battlefront are the same game with different characters and i love them both!
I don't think that it ps3 needs gears of war, but its really not loosing ME any money by coming to the console. I will most likely never buy it until its in that 3 dollar bin at gamestop or something and i really have no other game to play.

I feel that there are tons of great games for p3 that I still haven't even begun to touch! I cant keep up with the steady stream of games that are coming out now much less coming from another console.

I had a 360 when Gears came out. I enjoyed it at the time but compared to Uncharted it's kinda slow and drab, so I don't miss it at all.

I suppose it would be a good laugh at the xbox community if Gears 1,2 & 3 were released on a single blu-ray.

so hears to all the negative comments and especially the guy who calls me a "bag o' douche" for my opinion. I sold my Xbox just to get a PS3 because i was tired of having a heart attack every time it froze up. I was talking about the controller layout for Killzone not the GAMEPLAY. And yes i know they have diff layouts. Man you guys are so sensitive when it comes to the Playstation. And its not about being a fan boy or "sign up for the express purpose of saying such things...". Because i believe that the Gamecube has had one of the best shooters ever made. RE4. I joined this site to know more about the system and to meet people who like to play online.

Yea and Gears hardly influenced Uncharted. if there's any game it did influence it was RE5 and it had a terrible influence on it.

As much as I love both games, Gears and Uncharted, I have to say that Uncharted did have the same cover mechanics (not identical) as Gears. Also Gears did come first to the table with the 3rd person cover system. Now, Uncharted did execute the story telling much better and the voice talent was on a much higher caliber.

What makes Gears of War so much fun is how it was designed with Co-Op gameplay in mind. It's nice to take a break every once in a while from the world of realistic physics to some outlandishly bloody and gory game that can be enjoyed with friends online or offline. Tackling the campaign mode in a shooter with a friend, to me at least, makes the game that much more enjoyable.

I wish Uncharted 2 had a full co-op campaign instead of only the 3 missions included with the game. Both are great games.

It's kind of a toss-up for me. I absolutely love the first Gears but the sequel let me down something fierce. I will definitely play Gears 3 because the original got me too invested in the franchise but I'm not looking forward to it for any other reason. IF it was on PS3, I would play it there since I prefer my PSN friends to my XBL crowd and I hate the 360 controller. If it was 360-only again, not really a big deal.

Speaking generally about the PS3 audience as a whole, however, I don't think the game would do THAT well on Sony's machine. Neither would Halo. Almost any PS3 owner will tell you they have X number of games they think are vastly superior to those. Whether they're "right" or "wrong", it will certainly limit the potential of a Gears of War PS3.

Now, Mass Effect on the other hand...I would buy PS3 versions of those games even if it meant I had to create new characters, get the Trophies again, etc. BioWare is losing out on way more money not releasing those games on the PS3 than Epic is by keeping Gears on 360.

I played the first one at a friends house didnt' like it at all.. I have way to many great exclusives to play, also saving my money for the new medal of honour and just picked up KZ2 Finally LOL and played 2 hours last night :) loving it and I see that their is sale on the DLC for it, so I'll be picking up a PSN card today as well so I can get all of that :)
If Gears came to the PS3 I know a few people would love to try it but I have to agree if you don't know the franchise it will be defently hard to just get into the 3rd installment.

When I had a 360, Gears of War was one of my many hot titles that I owned with it. I sold it before Gears of War 2 came out so I never played the sequel. Still, I didn't feel like I missed out on any must haves after I sold my 360, when it's over it's over. I'm a PS3 owner that would be more than happy to see Gears of War 3 on our console because Gears of War was awesome.

The more hot titles start showing up on the PS3 the better for our beloved system. Quite frankly many titles on the 360 should have never have seen the light, they should have all came out for the PS3 exclusively. Now that the Playstation 3 is making companies million+ unit sellers over, and over, and over again. Trust me, developers and software companies will make the PS3 their system of choice.

What other system out there has the ability to sell titles in the millions in just about every game category you can think of?

Diversity on the PS3 can equal a hot ass title. No other system gives that type of assurance and confidence to developers. Diversity on any other system can equal epic fail. Why is that? Who cares if you ask me. What I see here is that if a developer wants to bring their A game it'll work on the PS3.

I find that Playstation owners have a better ability in separating crap from goodness. Bring out the goods and PS3 owners will reward you.

Gears of War would be a great addition to the PS3 especially if done right, refined graphics,smoother controls. It's a great series why not bring it over, another exclusive lost by Xbox.Sounds good to me.

It's not coming to PS3. He'd have to accept being a little fish in a big pond of amazing exclusive developers. As it stands he only has Bungie to compete with.

I did own both Gears and enjoyed them immensely. They were fun in co-op, boring solo and too many issues with online. I wouldn't be to interested in playing the third. That horse is beat.

Ok I honestly wouldn't mind to see This game on ps3... I think It would look so much better n e ways on ps3.. But it's xbox.. They always gonna be crying so just leave it on xbox.. Sony is coming up nd having super cool exclusives so they own xbox that much.. Just a matter of time before the 360 is done

I had the 360(not now sold it) when Gears of war 1 came out and really liked it but when i tryed it online i just didn't like it as much as i thought i would ;-( but hell yeah if we did get gears of war 3 i'd get the game with out a second thought.

I think the majority would welcome Gears to the ps3. Gears 1 is one of the most fun multiplayer games I have ever played. If gears came over it would no doubt sell a couple million copies. Im just hoping gears 3 goes back to the gears 1 multiplayer feel. I was so dissapointed with gears 2 online, campaign was fun though.

I used to have a 360, and i honestly got tired of paying for online. I grew up playing PC, and everything nintendo and sony, and I have yet to have to dish out money to connect to a gaming server. As far as GOW goes, i really am MEH about it...I played them, but they got old quickly.....Anyone else here noticed how increasingly difficult it is to play a PS3 exclusive and not judge others by the standards those game set? Like for me, Metal Gear came, and set a high bar, KZ2 set it WAY higher, Uncharted 2...well the GOTY is self explanitory, Heavy Rain was out of this world, and now God Of War 3, just totally made it hard for me to play anything else and have a fair view when the level of gameplay, level design, GRAPHICS, voice acting....i can keep going. But the PS3 has consistently been setting trends and a higher standard with each release. So to have all of those releases, and then Gears...i would have to say negative to that one. Im not big on multiplats, because of their crummy work on the PS3 ports, but Red Dead Redemption looks awesome....lets just hope that Rockstar wont leave the PS3 with sloppy seconds, yet AGAIN. The only other 360 games i really think should be on the Ps3 is the new splinter cell and mass effect 2.

Well I won't mind if they bring Gears to the PS3 but then they have to bundle all 3 of them in one package so that we can play the whole experience and not just the last one and teh same goes for Mass Effect if they decide to bring it to the PS3.

My only worry is that it might suffer from the usual bad port syndrome that seems to plague many Multiplat games.

hello ...

i'm not a big fan of the genre, the only games i played close to it would be the Uncharted series.

I do have Gears of war on my PC, but don't have a big rig, so can't play it for now, will check it out when i get my future gaming machine.

Now with Gears of War 3 on PS3, i don't know, will depend on how it looks on my fav console, if looks good, maybe yes but like OriginalSin said, would be great ONLY if no bad port & having the prequels ported.

else just too bad, won't miss a lot for i still need to play all the PS3 / PC games i have.

I have a 360 too so I do not care if it comes to PS3. I would probably still play it on the 360 anyway.

I LOVE the GoW games as they are just plain fun! If you have ever shredded one of those ugly alien bugs with a chainsaw you would NEVER knock this game! SO cool!!!!!

With all of the great PS3 exclusives out now I doubt any GoW game would sell as well on the PS3 anyway...

I fall into the 'I alreayd have too much to play on the PS3' crowd. If it came over to the PS3, I probably wouldn't notice.

Both my roommates have 360's though, so it's not like it has to come to the PS3 for me to be able to try it out. I can just go rent it.
