ProStroke Golf: World Tour Swinging Into Fall 2010
If you're a fan of golf and golf video games - I love me some Hot Shots, personally - than you should keep an eye out for a new title this fall.
It doesn't have an exact release date yet but as it's set to launch in the fall, we imagine it's perfect timing...you know, when it starts to get colder and less inviting on the real course, you can stay home and keep playing! Today, O-Games, Inc., a publisher of family, social and sports games and part of OG International Ltd., has announced ProStroke Golf: World Tour for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It's a follow-up to the 2007 iteration and developer Gusto Games has been working hard to make this new effort shine; we can expect "enhanced gameplay physics" and a "truly realistic golfing experience without ever leaving the house." Other features include fully licensed courses, five different modes and what they're calling a new revolutionary design anchored by ProStroke View and ProStroke Swing.
- Five different play modes including Challenge Mode, allowing you to go up against a real pro
- Craft your own swing with the unique control system
- Listen to commentary from the world renowned voices of golf
- Fully licensed courses put players to the ultimate test
Added Greg Lanz, General Manager of O-Games:
"ProStroke Golf: World Tour promises to be a fresh new approach to delivering the most realistic and competitive golf experience on PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. We are excited to expand on quality and success of the ProStroke franchise."
And as we already said, the game will be ready to go in Fall 2010. It doesn't have to compete with the new Tiger Woods PGA Tour title (set to launch on June 8), either, so that's another timing bonus. If you want a golf game later this year, this should be your best bet.

Maybe the PS3 version will let you do some other Tiger-like things with that Sony Move.

But I really don't know how you take a fresh approach to a golf game. Will be interested to see what's different.
