Clash Of The Titans Ventures Into Stores This July
See Full ImageNormally, the game based on a film releases at about the same time that movie hits theaters; e.g., Iron Man 2.
But such was not the case with Clash of the Titans. The movie was out in April and we never did see a video game adaptation. However, Namco Bandai has finally provided a launch date; it's July 27 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Now, that's a good three months after the movie came out so we're wondering if they'll still be able to build on the blockbuster's popularity but then again...is there anything else in July? Maybe it's good timing. And if you pre-order the game from GameStop, you'll land two separate bonuses: the "Bird in Hand" quest pack (taxing you to defeat the Cockatrice; if you do, you'll receive a "Wing of Icarus" sub-weapon), and a "Song of Enchantment" quest pack. The latter adventure forces you to face a succubus and a siren and if you can manage to stomp both, you'll get another sub-weapon, the Orpheus. The question is, of course, whether or not Game Republic will give us a game worthy of our attention.
The movie was supposed to be pretty good - or so I heard - so maybe there are plenty of fans anxiously awaiting this title. And hey, you can't really imagine a better premise.

dunno why they had it in 3D cinemas though, i sat there the whole time with these bulky plastic space aged goggles on my face for nothing!

As, for the game maybe it's a good thing it wasn't rushed to arrive with the movie on the same day. Might be a decent hack n slash.

The new one was good effects wise but story wise it was crap. Too different from the original.
I'll keep an eye on the review for the game.

I would sooner buy a game of MEET THE SPARTANS than one of this movie. Absolutely horrible movie. If it's based on the movie, did they go out of their way to make the game equally as bad, or perhaps worse? Heck, they might as well sell more at a higher price by claiming (and lying in the process) it's in 3D.

thats not easy either because greek mythology is well its like a hole.
everyone has one, and there are many different variations on it.
a little background info would of been nice!
hopefully the games coming out after the movie because they actually wanted to make it decent?
i was saying during the whole time through the movie that a game based on this would be really cool.
but than so would iron man 2 and they somehow managed to fu*k that up big time!
