Nab Great Titles For Only $30 At K-Mart

Although we should all be thankful that games today cost about what they cost 20-25 years ago when they were cartridges with 1/3295th the technology, $60 apiece can still be steep.

This is especially true when there are so many games you want to buy. Over the course of the past 6-8 months, we've seen literally dozens of must-play titles on store shelves, and it's unlikely that you've managed to snag 'em all. So if you missed out on the likes of Final Fantasy XIII, Bayonetta and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you should definitely spring for the weekly K-Mart deals. Based on the info found at SlickDeals, you'll find that all three have been marked down to $29.99, which is half the price of the original cost. If you hit the links to those games on K-Mart's website, it'll say they're $59.99 but as soon as you add them to your cart, they'll drop to that far more attractive deal price. We know a lot of you have held off on getting these three for a variety of reasons, and now that you can get two for the price of one, why wait any longer? Just remember: if you have the choice, definitely get Bayonetta for the Xbox 360; sadly, the PS3 port isn't even close in terms of overall quality.  The reverse is true for FFXIII and for MW2, it doesn't really matter.

Well, what are you waiting for? These deals only last through May 10, so you had best get the lead out, peeps.

I love deals. I especially love game deals. Unfortunately I have the two out of the three that I want. I'll get Bayonetta when it's cheaper still. As for MW2, get the PS3 version. The online is free and this game played mostly online.

If there's any hackers on the PS3 I must say they're really bad at it because they still get owned left right and center.

I just finished playing it this week.

They have added a patch which lets yo install the game. This completely fixes the issues with the load times that the PS3 version suffered from.

There are some frame rate drops here and there, but nothing major. Also the camera can be iffy at times.

Asides from that, it's one of the best hack-and-slash games of all time.

IMO Bayonetta > DMC 1-4. I highly recommend it.

While I never played the ps3 version the 360 one placed itself as one of my favorite games this generation. It has a heavy emphasis on style and fun which is nice among many games that feel like they take themselves too seriously.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the DMC series.

Bayonetta's combat is very similar, but the additions of unlocking new combos, accessories, vehicles, witch time, better boss battles, humor, etc, push it past its predecessor.

I'll check my local store tomorrow, their lot is always empty, but then of course they usually only have 2 employees in the store at any given time, so I might be in for a 20 minute wait just to get someone to unlock the video game cabinets lol.

games are bloody expensive these days!
gone are the days where a brand new release would cost me 50 bucks, i remember waking up at 2 in the morning to go buy crash team racing the day it released and it only cost me 50 bucks.
wish games these days were that price!
but than everythings price has gone through the roof!
gone also are the days where a playstation magazine would set you back a fiver!
even coke, that use to be 2 bucks per 600mls not even 2 years ago, now its closer to 4.

o, BTW NEVER! buy a game from Kmart.
why?
because there to tight assed to pay for extra game covers so they use what will be your game cover as a display case and keep the games in the game manual.
twice i have bought a game from their and it looked like a freaking tiger had attacked it.
took it back not even half a hour after i purchased it and on both occasions they refused a refund.
the tight asses would not even give me store credit!
should of called the department of fair trading on their ass, but i could not be bothered :(

no again im not from the US.
anyone got flashing neon lights i can use?
50 to 110 is a pretty big leap if you ask me, not to mention games back then use to be longer. almost every single game enabled you to invite friends over.
now your lucky if 1 game out of 1000 lets you do that!

plus even if it was 10 bucks it still would elate to a massive difference since i dont buy 1 game a month.
i normally buy 1 a week so 10 bucks by 52 weeks in the year.
yeah thats quite a difference no?
i could buy a new nvidia 480GTX for that price!

Oh yes, the whopping difference between $50 for a game that cost a few hundred thousand to develop and the $60 you are now paying for a game that cost $10 million+ to develop, totally makes sense.

I mean that's $10, you could buy 2.5 sodas for that.

If you bought an unsealed game, that's pretty much your fault isn't it? Inspect the product before purchase. If software is unsealed, don't buy it, unless possibly if you are buying from a used games dealer like Gamestop that actually backs up their used products and will offer refunds if it doesn't work.

Edit: You buy 1 game a week? Holy crap. Here I thought I had a lot buying 1 a month.

Quick question ben, aren't the graphics on ff13 bad on 360, shouldn't people definitely get it for ps3 if they are going to get it?

Well I might have considered buying ff13 but my wife just bought me the saboteur, got it for $18, been enjoying it. Don't have any more spare money now, so 13 will have to keep on waiting until there is nothing left and I have money again.

It's not that the 360 version's graphics are "bad," it's just that they're not quite as good as the PS3 version.

And besides, one BD vs. three DVDs...?

Multiple discs vs single disc is nothing to brag about. Sure I'd prefer a single disc so long as I don't lose content, but alone it in no way justifies a 'better' version.

Base the decision off of trophies vs achievements and controller preference. If you are a graphics whore (like me sometimes) then you'll probably want the PS3 version instead.

Actually Bayonetta makes it quite clear that it doesn't take itself seriously. Most of the game obviously is tongue and cheek.

I should also point out that my gf actually bought the game. There are innuendos aplenty, but not any actual nudity or sex.

The most Bayonetta shows isn't anymore than you would see at the beach.

I have a Kmart about 8 blocks from me in a huge shopping center. But every time I go in to check on one of their gaming deals, they never have it stock till the sale's already over(hmmm, scam???)

But the one good plus that they do have is, a clearance rack in their Electronics section.

I've picked up 2 6 foot MDMI cables @ $5 , 3 Nyko wireless PS3 controllers @ $13, a wireless Logitech hand microphone @ $11, plus a lot of other little assorted console accessory goodies too(all brand new).

So at least most of my walk-by's there aren't a total waste.

A deals a deal and the way they usually work is first come first serve while supply is available. I just checked kmart.com and the only one they have available is Bayonetta on the PS3.

Sucks, those were great prizes that beat ebays for the same games new.

They've been restocking the games multiple times, throughout each day so keep refreshing. I already picked up my games.
