Horde Of Black Ops Details Revealed

So what do you want to know about the new Call of Duty?

Well, GamesRadar has gathered up a whole host of new details, ranging from single-player campaign specifics to the highly anticipated and likely very robust online multiplayer. That list through the link is lengthy, and highlights include: four-player co-op, the fact that we'll play as at least two main characters in "multiple international conflicts," greatly varied weapons and ammo (thanks to the "superior intelligence" of the Black Ops outfit), and Treyarch boss Mark Lamia has said the game is "epic in scope." Perhaps what's most intriguing to us (as we've complained about a lack of a good story in these games before) is the plot that "has meaning and character." They're also taking a big technological step by utilizing the same full-actor motion-capture process used in "Avatar." In other words, if you think this is going to look and feel a lot like a big-budget movie, you're probably right. Infinity Ward and Treyarch have always been trying to one-up each other and although IW has had the edge with their Modern Warfare franchise, Treyarch can't be dismissed.

Or are you forgetting that World at War was arguably the best World War II shooter ever? And you know, love or hate the series in question, Black Ops is already shaping up to be one hell of an experience.

i'll rent it, just because of the pain MW2 has caused.
I cant afford to be addicted to online, and besides... GT5

unless i know that the developer puts out exceptionally great titles, i will wait about 2 weeks or more (even if im interested) to let the rest of the world be the lab rats in a maze

Sorry but I'm voting with my dollar and boycotting this series. I would wait for them to actually spend time with something else, but I expect Respawn to do so long before Activision.

Anyone else starting to think there probably won't be anything new to announce at E3 about anything?

it seems as if that question is asked every year, but then E3 rolls around and there's just TONS more to talk about.

I look at like this, if we're finding out the things we are right now, just imagine what e3 will hold.

As long as they don't show us CoD ice climbing again. That was ridiculous.

If the single player camapign is longer than 6 hours and has more variety in modes and types of gameplay than MW2 offered, I might, MIGHT be willing to sell my MW2 Prestige edition and give this a shot instead.

MW2 let me down something bad. A real shame since the first Modern Warfare was a great game and held a lot of promise for the future.

to be honest, activision will probably charge that as super premium DLC.
which wont be worth it.
But i would like zombies. It was fun.

Of course they're going to add Zombies. That's how Treyarch sells their games.

Well personally it sounds good so far. I'm not one to negatively alter my opinion of a game simply because the publishers of the title are ethically lacking.

I know we've seen so many COD titles in the past few years and the three words Call of Duty rings like sirens (sirens left to be interpreted by reader) in your ears but I'm willing to give the game a chance regardless of my personal feelings for the publisher in question.

Maybe you're overloaded on FPS or you just hate Activision so you hate the titles they publish. I honestly don't know, but I know a lot of people would be happy to see other great franchises expand in number.

I can honestly understand the argument of having more than FPS to purchase so you are spending your money wisely by overlooking this title. But if you're looking at Medal of Honor with interest and other similar titles (being of the FPS genre) then you're not giving Treyarch the respect it deserves. At least give the game the benefit of the doubt.

I'm all in if there are no grenade launchers, those are seriously a pain...in that area.

I am actually curious to see what Treyarch pulls off with this one... seeing they finally moved away from WWII.

So I am looking forward to see what they will do with the new setting. Because I honestly believe they can bring us something that will overshadow the previous installments.

I really though WAW was a great game and as John said it was by far the best WWII game ever made.

So bring on Vietnam and let's see how that turns out to be....

shock of horrors this ones actually going to use dedicated servers!!!!!
looks like moneyvision actually learned their lesson for a change.
nah, who am i kidding!

it will be either this or MoH at the end of this year, and by the looks of it MoH will come out on top.
but seriously come on guys enough with these freaking war based games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
please, for once can we do something different!!!
put treyarch on another james bond title, QoS was actually a decent game, if they did not have license restrictions it could of been a really good game!
but this time take it back to the old style of james bond, you know the million and one gadgets, the shooting out security cameras to avoid detection.
the old traditional and to be frank best bond games out there!!!!!!

In my opinion, i think Activision are going to HYPE it up, mainly because everyone has seen from the IW/Respawn incident that these guys are dicks.
I wont pass on it completely, because treyarch did make a truly brilliant WW2 game, so if they can make a good story, then woo. but as for online, MW2 is good enough.

I'm wondering if there will be 4 player split screen zombies in this one, or at least 2 player split screen that is actually split screen (I have no idea why they had 2 screens with a ton of blank space surrounding them)

The CoD franchise's stories have had meaning and character in them for a long time. Seems like Treyarch is just continuing the tradition.

Funny thing is I'll actually understand what the vietcong are saying in this game!!!

Hopefully this won't be another letdown as I really hated the perks for MW2, it's not even a shooter anymore, just perk based mindless shooter.
