PixelJunk Shooter 2: "Jam-Packed Full Of Crazy Fun"
If you've been keeping up with some of the underground gems on the PlayStation Network, you know all about Q Games and their ongoing list of PixelJunk titles.
One of those solid, unique, entertaining experiences came in the form of PixelJunk Shooter, which was a borderline ingenious blend of shooting and puzzle mechanics. And if you were a fan, you'll be happy to learn that according to a recent post by Q boss Dylan Cuthbert at the PlayStation Blog, the sequel is in "full production." Furthermore, it won't just be a simple follow-up; it'll boast plenty of additions and enhancements, and even a few new features never before seen in the PixelJunk series. Said Cuthbert:
"We're busy implementing all the ideas that were left on the drawing board for the first game to make [PixelJunk] Shooter 2 as jam-packed full of crazy fun as possible. I'm pretty sure we won't make a [PixelJunk] Shooter 3 because everything and the kitchen sink (probably quite literally) is going into this game."
And to celebrate, gamers will release a free demo of Cuthbert's favorite PixelJunk Shooter level on May 25. This particular level includes "explosive gas, magma, water, tons of cool enemies and volcanic eruptions." So if you need a break from the full-budget, blockbuster productions and you just want to kick back with a leisurely and very original little game, you know where to look. This is one franchise that definitely needs to march forward.

Going to buy it as soon as I have enough reason to get a PSN card, I should get a credit card when I turn 18, much easier to spend small amounts on the Playstation Store (I think)...

Off-topic: I'm glad to see so many User Reviews so quickly. I voted that I would contribute reviews in the poll awhile back, and I won't be called a liar. After this week I'll have to write something up. At the moment I think I'll do a review for Critter Crunch, as I was dissapointed that PSX didn't have the time for it.
