Top Gun Hits The Danger Zone Again This Summer
If I have to explain the movie "Top Gun," which would mean you've never seen the movie, then you are a seriously deprived individual.
Paramount Digital Entertainment has announced that Maverick, Goose, Iceman and Viper will once again be in the skies in the upcoming title for the PlayStation 3, PC and Mac. They're calling it a "free-flying air combat shooter" where you will enroll in the prestigious Top Gun Academy as Maverick, and after graduating, you will take to the danger zone with the best pilots the US Navy has to offer. Shoot down opposing jets, defend and attack bases, engage in huge dogfights, try no less than seven different gameplay modes, and even go online to sample five distinct multiplayer modes (up to 16 players allowed). They've even gone to the effort of tapping the film's screenwriter, Jack Epps, Jr. to expand on the movie's original plot and story elements. Said John Kavanagh, senior vice president of video games at Paramount Digital Entertainment:
"With Jack Epps, Jr. on board, we're excited to deliver a new Top Gun arcade experience that holds true to the popular film. The Top Gun development team did a great job taking the best elements of the film - the characters, action, plot and attitude - and expanding beyond them by creating new dialogue, more missions and multiplayer modes. We're confident players will have a great time doing inverts, buzzing the tower and getting into dogfight battles with film's characters and their friends online."
In development by DoubleSix, Top Gun will wing onto store shelves some time this summer.

And then just maybe, this will get AC throttling up on their joysticks so they can land another big one on the PS3's flight deck much quicker.
After all, until MS had frigging jet-jacked AC, the carriers of choice has always been the Playstation Battle Group.
The first thing I want to do when I get up into the skies again, is zero right in on MS-HQ & drop a few dozen 2000 pound bunker-buster's down their all their chimneys.

getting a decent mac to play games on would cost you 3 arms and a leg, at least 2 arms more than a same spec PC would cost ya!
back in February last year i built my PC for 3K.
now a lower specked mac at JBHIFI today is 2800 bucks!!!
200 bucks less than what i spent, it has a I5 1.6CPU compare to my I7 2.8CPU, its got 6GB of DDR2 ram in comparison to my 8GBDDR3, its got 1TBHDD 7200RPM, where mine has a 200GB SSD and a 1TB HDD.
and so on, and so on.
macs are great for anything but games, i much prefer macs over PCs because i find them easier and better to use.
but you have to be insane to use them for games!
