Front Mission: Evolved Won't Engage Until September
The new-look Front Mission should've been rarin' to go but instead, Square-Enix has decided to give Double Helix more time.
As GameSpot reports, Front Mission: Evolved won't be hitting its estimated spring launch date and will instead launch on September 14 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The heavy mech experience will also be available in stunning 3D (which may or may not be the reason for this delay), and it will also boast an entirely overhauled look and feel. Past titles have been turn-based strategy games; this one is more like MechWarrior or Armored Core, in that it will be a real-time third-person action title. But you'll just have to wait before you can assume the role of engineer Dylan Ramsey and take control of your highly competent "Wanzer." We'll also get the benefit of now-requisite online multiplayer, which should be more incentive to give the game a try when it releases this fall. For those of you hoping for something like past entries, you're going to have to look elsewhere for your strategy fix; but if you loved Lost Planet, Front Mission: Evolved may be right up your alley.
Square-Enix is supposedly looking to produce some fresh IPs but in the meantime, there's nothing wrong with giving an old franchise a makeover of sorts...well, provided it works.

I would have liked a strategy based front mission but I'll research front mission evolved and may add it to my purchase list, it would be nice if they have bots in multiplayer for those of us that are anti-social ^_^.
