Rockstar Offers Red Dead Redemption Frontier Collection
Many of you are already living the cowboy dream in Red Dead Redemption, but in order to fully immerse yourself, you need to partake of some real-life goodies.
Check out the Frontier Collection over at the Rockstar Warehouse: there's the Collector's Pack #1, which includes a pack of playing cards in a "deluxe clothbound case," special RDR dice and a special carrying case, and a bar of Alex T. Davenport Eradicator Soap ("tough on blood and manure"). You can grab it all for $15. For $20, you can get the soap, cards, and a replica bundle of dynamite. Or, you can mix and match items for different prices, or even nab a few on their own; the t-shirts are pretty sexy, aren't they? I admit to getting the cards, dice, soap, and a t-shirt with the review copy Rockstar sent me, but of course, silly little PR items have never swayed me in terms of a review score...and besides, Red Dead Redemption rocks. One doesn't need any extra incentive to tell you the obvious fact of the matter. But anyway, if you're a big fan of the game - and of the Western theme overall - you should really consider grabbing some of this cool stuff for your collection. And anybody out there who would be embarrassed to wear a gaming t-shirt: grow up and wear it proudly!
I keep wondering if I should use the soap. I keep getting the feeling something bad might happen if I do...

I'm kinda interested to know if there is anyone out there willing to use that soap. I bet it would probably take some hide off your *ss.

I was ridiculed recently behind my back by some co-workers and it pissed the boss off. He gave me a raise and put me above them. So I don't think I'll have to worry about anyone making fun of my shirt, at least for a little while.

They get stuck outside sometimes in the heat and referred to me as a candy *ss for being inside. That's getting personal when you insult me. I'll tell you I think your work needs to be torn out and redone, but I won't call you names. There's more to it than what I was told. People that happened to like me sugar coated what all was said. If the boss was mad then more was said than that.

If you do better work you deserve to do interior, obviously these insults were born of purely jealousy.
@Killsignal:
Does anybody recognize/comment on the symbol?
The dice and cards of this set are the coolest things in my eyes, but then again I am a fan of poker which is probably why I lean towards those, but a candle that looks like TNT? that's just sick. Rock on R*

I know I'm going to get thumb downed like crazy but try to remember that I do like the game. It's just, the side quests do almost nothing for you, the outfits in Sp all look ridiculously alike and they do little to no good in having them.
In some area's of the game, the graphics aren't quite finished and it looks terrible. Granted it's usually on the fringes of the map, but come on show some pride and make it equally good every where. Which speaking of the map it was quite a bit smaller than I expected and the in game overhead map doesn't scale well.
Not to mention the glitches, glitches, and more glitches. Are they terrible and game breaking, not really, but in my opinion, it goes back to the pride thing.
In all I've definitely enjoyed it, but it wasn't the 10/10 I was expecting.

With 30 years experience in casino's, and being a state certified & licensed Blackjack instructor I really resent that remark.
And just and from your "cheating" comment, it kind of tells me right off the bat that you either know nothing, or very little at all about the game of blackjack, other than just plopping your bet down.
Dealers work for a $3.85 hourly average starting pay so they rely on the tips, not the pay.
And... since they rely on those tips, then it also means that they want to see you win, in the small hope that you'll be considerate enough to realize that win, tie, or even lose, that they're STILL providing a decent service to you with the hopes that some of you will tip them a few bucks here & there.
FYI, dealers don't need to cheat because the house already has a big built-in edge.
And that edge goes even higher when the majority of players aren't smart enough to take the time to learn basic strategy and then they wind up making misguided mistake after mistake.
Also, people jumping in & out of the game also gives the house a bigger edge too, as well as the player who goes from playing just 1 hand, then goes to 3 hands, then back to 1 hand, then 2 more hands.
If you really learn blackjack, you'll realize it's the players that control the dealers hand and leave him with the cards he gets.
Yes, even if the dealers has a 2-card pat hand of 20, 21, or even a natural Ace-Jack blackjack, it's still ONLY because of the way the players played their cards that 1-hand earlier, that he got it.
So my expert advise is to read & study a few books on basic strategy, or the only way you'll double your money is to take it out of your wallet, fold it, and put it right back in.

Maybe it's only my experience but if I ever end up playing games on xbox Live, I have to mute every player on there which dosen't seem to happen all that often w. the PS3. Does anybody else notice this?
Poker is awesome, but I wouldn't say I'm addicted, that might be a bit far. Blackjack was never really my game either but taxes hold em', razz, omaha hi/low, and most other forms of poker (except 5 card)are really fun.
@Kraygen:
I wouldn't think you would be thumbed down just for stating the reasons you weren't as enthused after playing the game as you thought you should have been. But, as I have not yet played RDR I cannot say If agree on those points :(

Looks like some neato shwag and I'm enjoying RDR but I'd rather put that cash towards the next game. Or we could all buy the fake dynamite and threaten some devs to make the games we want for once.
