New Lords Of Shadow Screens Show Off Real Gameplay
If there's one game you shouldn't ignore as the end of the year approaches, it's Konami's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
The more we see and hear about the game, the more we become convinced that it'll be well worth playing. Much has been made about how it looks and potentially plays a lot like God of War but then again, what action game doesn't want to emulate the best of the best? If you're a fan of the genre, you need to check out the freshly released screenshots for the game: it shows Gabriel facing off against a titanic boss monster entirely comprised of rubble. It's clear the thing is female, though, and it looks pretty damn impressive. Oh and before you even ask, producer David Cox answers your question over at his Twitter page:
"Those Titan shots are real time NOT video. Look closely you will see Gabriel climbing and striking the runes!! That's me playing right there."
So yeah, those aren't taken from a CGI cut-scene or anything; they're straight from the gameplay. And if that doesn't remind us of the awesome encounters with those insane bosses in GoWIII, nothing does; that's anything but an insult. History is not on the game's side as we really haven't seen a top-notch 3D Castlevania (Symphony of the Night remains the crown jewel of the franchise, IMO), but we're still hoping for something very, very special in Lords of Shadow.
