Toy Story 3 Laughs It Up This Week
If you're looking for something a little lighter, or you've got some kids in the house, Toy Story 3 should prove to be a great option this week.
The new game from Avalanche Software will be released on June 15, and it's great to know that Avalanche worked closely with Pixar so the "Toy Story" universe would truly come to life on our HDTVs. Exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version of the game is Buzz Lightyear's arch-nemesis, Zurg, and the development team says Zurg is their "favorite character:" he's different than the other playable characters; he's the only one who gets the benefit of a cannon, and he moves very differently than anyone else. Oh yeah, he gets his own vehicle, too; the "Zurgmobile." It's just a very cool addition to a game designed to cater to a certain audience, and we're hoping the control is solid and accessible. It really isn't impossible to make a decent game based on a movie - as Shrek: Forever After proves - and we think this one has an excellent chance of being worthwhile. For a new gameplay video, visit the European PlayStation Blog, where you might hear something about two big Sony announcements tomorrow...
Well, we should learn about that mystery game from a "legendary designer" in about 20 minutes here on Spike's GTTV. We'll have to see what that's all about.
