PSXE Poll Update: GT5 Will Be Here Before Christmas
Nobody can really be sure, but it seems as if the majority of readers believe Gran Turismo 5 will at least be ready to go for the holiday season.
Sony has "guaranteed" that Polyphony's highly anticipated driving simulator will be available in 2010, although we don't yet have an official release date. We're expecting to get one in a few days at E3 but in the meantime, we can only go by what we've heard: GameStop's database has it listed for November 1 (which just screams "placeholder"), various sources have said to expect it anywhere between the end of September and late-October, and the developers...well, they remain quiet on the issue. We know Kazunori Yamauchi is a big-time perfectionist and we also know GT5 will get the benefit of a few new features, but racing fans are getting a touch impatient. But when it does finally arrive, you can bet it will be another glossy feather in the PS3's cap. It may not be for everyone but if it doesn't redefine the nature of racing simulators - as most every GT installment does - than we'll all be pretty darn shocked. Speaking of E3, we move on to this week's question...
We want to know what you think will be the biggest announcement at Sony's press conference. We've already given you our list of predictions, but what piece of news do you believe will set Sony's presentation apart? Or do you simply not expect anything significant at all? There are quite a few possibilities but perhaps some are more likely than others, so choose carefully!

thats what they said last year, so ill believe it once its in my hands.
i really cant wait to get this though.
i went on a track day yesterday for the first time in ages and had the best time ive had in a long time!
kinda scary at times, had a few slipups and a few freaking Asians who can not drive for sh*t but besides that it was allot of fun.
its put me back into the racing mood, as soon as i got home i went back to NFS shift.
nice to get back to the old roots every once in a while!

A new PS3? What, the ultra-slim? Well, that would certainly be a surprise. PS4? No, it's just too early. We're really at the pinnacle of the current generation now, at least in my opinion. PSP2? If it's the PSP Go / Dsi hybrid I've seen articles on, that won't qualify as any sort of news to me.

As for E3, a PS4 teaser is NOT necessary, so I'm counting that one out. If anything, they would want the consumers to focus on 3D or Move. For me, the biggest news would be a new cheaper Ps3 model. That would make it tough to release a PSP2 since the price would somehow have to be relevant, bring in new customers, and the fact that it'll take a direct finishing blow at the 360 elite.
