THQ Launch Dates For Fallout: New Vegas And De Blob 2
Okay, so one is an exact date and the other is an estimate, but at least we have the information now.
Firstly, we've learned that Fallout: New Vegas, the latest iteration of the acclaimed sandbox role-playing franchise, will release on October 19 in the US and October 22 in Europe. New Vegas takes place in a fictional futuristic world that is very 1950s-like in nature; in that way, the post-apocalyptic atmosphere with the nod to yesteryear sort of reminds us of Bioshock. But anyway, the new Fallout is just what you'd expect; it's Fallout 3 in an entirely new world, with all new characters, creatures, and weapons, and if you missed the E3 debut trailer shown on GameTrailers TV on Friday night, here ya go:
Also, THQ has announced that de Blob 2: The Underground will be headed our way in Spring 2011; it'll debut on high-definition consoles and in 3D for the first time ever. Set to deliver a "fun-filled, creative gameplay experience for all ages," this sequel will boast "new moves, more friends, free-form painting activities," and more, and it's going to focus on Comrade Black and his war on color. It's de Blob to the rescue, as he will paint his way through Prisma City, loaded with an arsenal of new tricks to overcome his enemies. He'll even get the benefit of a new robot sidekick, Pinky, who can blast foes, disable traps, and assist in negotiating the challenging levels. Heck, we'll even get side-quests. Said Danny Bilson, THQ Executive Vice President of Core Games:
"We are thrilled to expand the world of de Blob into high definition and 3D gaming with an entertaining and immersive experience that brings back the adventures of the fun-loving, free-spirited hero. In addition to the release of de Blob 2: The Underground, THQ will extend the reach of its most colorful owned intellectual property with an upcoming Syfy partnership and de Blob-branded consumer products."

"this sequel will boast "new moves">>>>
OK, I'm not familiar with de blob, so I'm wondering just how many moves an actual blob could even make?
I mean, come on now, there's only 4 moves it could make, Quiver, sag, melt, and then puddle.
Just like a big ole hunk of Lime Jello left behind in the Arizona desert. LOL

I see there are a couple of factions in the game and I guess we chose who we give our support to.
I know know I'm gonna be ridding high on pooling in my caps in some gambling.
But looks like I may not enjoy New Vegas too long since I'll need too Nuke it.

if it was not for all the freaking game breaking bugs, well than id say it deserved GOTY.
hopefully this time they put more into the morality system though, more like alpha protocol.
that makes you regret or thank what you did, in fallout 3 i really could not care less.
