E3 2010: First Gameplay For Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed II is one of the best titles of the generation thus far, and one of our personal favorites at PSXE.
This is why we're excited to see more of the recently announced Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The trailer starts by highlighting Ezio's considerable skill with the ladies (perhaps you will remember the character's healthy appetite for the opposite sex), but above all else, Ezio is no longer a no-name. He has become a legend who is "actively being hunted by the Templars," and who has learned a great deal since his last adventure. One of the game's advancements will be the reinforced horse mechanics; we will even participate in relatively complex battles while astride a horse later in the game. The gameplay shown at Ubisoft's E3 conference clearly shows an explosive part of the title; Ezio must escape a huge bombardment on his villa, and he even mans some cannons on the rooftop.
They say they gave Ezio a few more combat mechanics although we're not seeing anything too new in this footage, and we also hear that the AI will be "much more aggressive." We're a little confused as to why the player never chooses to counter - the most effective form of fighting in the AC games, usually - but whatever. The rest is very story-oriented, and looks great. Provided they keep the core gameplay systems that made the last two games so damn good, we'll be satisfied.

Cannot wait for the Sony conference. No Cirque De Solais theatrics from them to distract from the fact that there's not much else to offer.

Cirque has done three 3-month shows at our place so far, first with the original full cast, then with Cirque:Pandemonia, & now with Cirque Dreams:Jungle Fantasy,(direct from Broadway) till Sept 6th.
And even muchbigger yawn for all of MS's presentation, except for their new MGS:Rising video, that one looks like a definite sale.

I was totally disappointed by this one, after riding horses in RDR the horse riding in the video looked like utter crap.
Also, all we've heard about brotherhood is going to be multiplayer and yet they showed no multiplayer whatsoever! What a disappointment this presentation was.

all they really need to do is remove the bugs, and improve the AI.
enemies were a little forgiving and happy to let you run the show, instead of trying to take control themselves.
AI needs to be much more aggressive!
O, they better have this pick up where AC2 left off the ending bugged the hell out of me!
what the ^%$# was that b*tch going on about???????

The game-play looks awesome but as I have not yet completed ACII I am not sure if I am unhappy about the fact this is taking the more offensive approach.

But with my wallet running thin, and so money games in my collection unfinished, this will either be a hire or a discount buy.
Unfortunately, Last Guardian, GT5, Gears 3 and Littlebig Planet 2 are higher on my must have list. Got a preorder on Demon's Souls too, so still have to get through that.
